Just realised I've lost more than a years salary before tax in relative purchasing power in the space of a week!

But it's cool, because I'm a chill guy and we'll make it all back and more!

The hacks and losses will continue until self custody improves

Crypto thefts surged to $2.2 billion in 2024, centralized exchanges bore and DEFI seem to be the big honey pots, and how sure are we that this won't happen to spot #ETF custodians and other wrapper products? Especially when Chainalysis states that private key compromises as a major vulnerability contributing to nearly 44% of all stolen funds in 2024

A lot of focus is on buying Bitcoin, not enough on securing Bitcoin and it shows!

Doubt the loan was to buy Bitcoin but surely it's funding other stuff so their other Bitcoin focus like taxes, passport issuance and mining would continue ahead, no?

lol does anyone know what meta planet actually does? I wonder what the appetite for corporate bonds in their market is because interest rates in JPY are basically non-existant for years, is this the new yen carry trade forming?

Sure we've been through a fork war before I was fortunate enough to have an address with some BCH allocated to it, lol not that I knew wtf I was doing at the time lol but it doesn't mean something like this wouldn't seriously rock the market, theres massive holders with paper hands in the game now the entire spot ETF allocation as an example, it would be complete and total madness as the market tries to figure out how to price the two forks

Lol F the FED, they need to be humble and focus on securing their 0.1 BTC

Lol well my salary isn't going to go up anytime soon so if they're planning to FUD cheap sats to benefit me can I really be mad at them?

#BlackRock can suck it, you even speak about touching the hard cap and you can F off, sell your stack and go buy Ethereum!

Ouch! It's an expensive lesson to learn, if you can check your wallets and get the public keys you used you could tag those UTXOs and pass them on to authorties for blacklisting and open up a case, but yeah that's mostly admin and no real improvement in recovery of funds.

These scammers can take their time and build up a relationship because they're cycling through a client list over time so they can afford to be patient as they plan to rug you. Hope you do find some peace and are able to move

I lost a fair bit back in the day leaving it on an exchange that got hacked so I know the pain, and yeah it put me on the straight and narrow of self custody real quick.

The sucky part is some how slack has developed this lindy effect and people are stuck in it and won't move, its really reminds me of the US dollar, like its shit but its relatively better than other things and people are just used to it

lol teams is horrid, both in browser and in app, i hate it when someone sends me a teams link like are you a sicko or what? Just call me on Skype then ffs if you want to use a microsoft product

The fact that I pay for this piece of crap RAM devouring app is beyond me, how did we even get here? Can't we do better than Slack?
