Another place to shitpost, yay!

Oh no, it’s a saga. Broken into 3-4 parts. From early earth, to future earth.

Aliens, space travel, high tech computers, humans

Oh. It’s legendary. Maybe you won’t find it awesome now, now that it’s time is gone. But when it came out ~1969, it was quite quite ahead of its time.

It’s a Stanley Kubrick classic.

The novel of the same name (Arthur c Clarke)came around the same time as the movie and tbh, I didn’t understand the first few times I saw it (I slept the first few times). Then I read the novel. Then I kind of got it. But it’s great just for its cinematography, it’s minutes long scenes of space, its ost. But HAL,the super computer ai(the one that started this question/thread) is the legend that got very famous.

Yes, I’m a fan and it’s one of my favourites.

Goooood morning, it’s a sunny day today ☀️

Good morning.

Good night 😴

About nostr? Tbh, I’m still gathering sources myself. But mostly it is via GitHub. And since the only programming tool I have in my arsenal is python, the sources are quite limited (as far as nostr goes). Mostly it is js, which I’m dreaded by and kind of hate. As for building on nostr using python, there’s this one repo that I used (python-nostr) to experiment with nostr dev.

Please ask more and while I may not be able to answer questions, I may just be able to point you in the right direction.

Spent last 6 hours building the dumbest automated poster on nostr. And since I’m a n00b as far as programming goes, what would take some one 15-20 mins, took me that long.

Am I proud of it? Not really, but I’m quite happy and elated with the little progress I made.

And now I have more questions than I had to begin with.

If I was not Alexander, I would wish to be Diogenes

Orrrrrr…

The thing I miss the most about bull run is that no one wants to befriend me by saying “hi” and no one asks me “how’s my trade going” :(

Good things take time. While I’ve always known this, it’s hard to find conviction when you’re in the “valley of self-doubts” while learning a thing and don’t seem to be making any progress and feel like an imposter.

I’ve had varying opinions about Zuckerberg over the decades. From impressive(“social network” induced) to treacherous (“Cambridge Analytica”) to wtf(metaverse) to “he’s onto something” (llama)

Say what you will, I’m impressed with his conviction to go all in onto something that seems so ludicrous, and keep at it.

Btw, if you do find a good / alternative source, could you share pls. I’m looking for one too.

Goddamn, is this still a thing? I thought it was dead for good.

Good night frens

So many memories.

There was a friend who had a computer at his home. That was a big deal to have a computer at home(I only saw it at schools / dad’s office). The bigger and wowing deal was that it had two slots for these 5 1/4 floppy disks. Now you didn’t need to do the floppy dance(“insert source disk”… “insert target disk”) to copy that 560kb data from one floppy to another. Amaze.

Next mind blowing thing happened when I witnessed those 3 1/2” “sturdy” floppies. 1.4mb? Wow.

Oh man. Brings memories. I remember that I’d memorised this very key!
