Are you talking about zapddit? It’s not a “general use” Nostr client, but rather oriented at providing Reddit-like experience where you can follow topics (hashtags) and participate in communities. It is relatively early days for the app, but nostr:npub1ltx67888tz7lqnxlrg06x234vjnq349tcfyp52r0lstclp548mcqnuz40t is shipping new functionality regularly. For now the app redirects you to snort.social for interactions that are not available on zapddit.

For a more “general experience” I suggest you use https://satellite.earth which also supports communities.

This has nothing to do with time telling. Curated communities are a thing and there are tens of millions of people who like this concept. While I’m not a Reddit power user, I understand the reason why people enjoy this. This approach ensures that the end user interacts with a noise-free feed, dedicated specifically to his interests and free of scammers and spam.

Moderators are slaves here, not masters. If they start acting out, users leave to a different more balanced community.

The important thing that was missing with Reddit is redundancy and ability of the community to leave the platform that starts practicing draconian measures towards both end users and curators.

#Nostr fixes this as we already have (almost) 4 clients supporting this and all of them are interoperable. There is no single client everyone will depend on and all notes and communities belong to nostriches, not clients or curators. nostr:note1pxxgmk7nv4htavza7durte8v6f75flnr7tz9rhfju3wt6qcerc0sjwxtwj

https://zapddit.com/ even has a feature where you can disable curation and see all the notes posted to the community regardless of the mods approval decision 🔥 I’m sure more will follow this lead.

Definitely bullish, but could be both 😄

Admin & target keys vs your private key stored in a browser extension that sign events.

With nip-46 you can create as many target keys as you want and use them for separate tasks / clients. You can fine tune access to target keys - assign certain rights, expiry date and such. Much more flexible.

Plus nip-47 does not work with PWAs.

It’s the development that mirrors Reddit experience of curated communities. You can create your own, have your peers post there and you’ll be able to moderate (approve of reject new posts to appear in your community).

Also has discussions/comments, upvoting/downvoting. Much more to come.

So pretty much a Reddit on Nostr.

#Nostr is amazing in so many ways - we’ve now got 3 clients that support communities (NIP-172). A comprehensive guide for Redditors is almost ready. Will release tomorrow.

Give it up for nostr:npub1ltx67888tz7lqnxlrg06x234vjnq349tcfyp52r0lstclp548mcqnuz40t , nostr:npub1alpha9l6f7kk08jxfdaxrpqqnd7vwcz6e6cvtattgexjhxr2vrcqk86dsn and nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj 👏👏👏 nostr:note1uuzfqw3h8zzdlktt3gd80rxpsrwwwfljzwa6m3xvp3ggpuuyqkzshjvhat

He’s one of the few big single points of failure for #Nostr. How can we fix that? 😂

PWAs + NWC + nsecBunker = Freedom & Security nostr:note1cklpzcz5lwd9sw6j3srdxl3f0jd0nhgr2hchxqw7sh9weywgju5q934lyy

Damus supported NWC a long time ago. The problem here is popularity I guess. When other #Nostr-based iOS clients grow their user base and get noticed by Apple, they will face same issues. That's why I'm looking into Android devices like never before while simultaneously promoting PWAs.

Hey, nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm, which #Nostr apps apart of Amethyst and Nostur support NWC? I mean Damus does, but #zaps on notes are now history for many users ☹️

As #Damus was forced to remove 1-tap #zaps from its functionality I’ve been looking into alternatives to be able to seamlessly #zap fellow nostriches’ notes.

I’ve started testing Nostur - https://nostur.com/ - by #[0] about a week ago and it certainly is worth your attention (and I still can’t understand how it went under my radar).

What you get:

* both iOS and MacOS versions

* multi account support

* nsecBunker login

* 1-tap zaps

* numerous customizable feeds

* long-form posts support

* much more

To enable 1-tap zaps on Nostur:

1. Create an account with https://getalby.com/ (if you haven’t already)

2. Navigate to https://nwc.getalby.com/ and log in with Alby

3. Create a New connection (you can set expiry date and a budget)

4. Copy the received pairing secret

5. Paste the secret in Nostur Setting into the zapping field where you can choose the preferred wallet.

You can come back to https://nwc.getalby.com/ at any time and disconnect the paired wallet from the app.

Make sure to check out Nostur - lots of cool features and nice design won’t disappoint you!

Being able to comment on Habla posts (again) makes my eyes watery 🥺

Been waiting for this feature to return for ages now. Just kidding, it’s just time flies with #Nostr.

And yes, this is a comment to my https://habla.news/tony/live-stream-embeds long-form post 💜

When something you’ve built is done right you often miss the new features available on YOUR platform 😂

This is what scalability should look like. nostr:note1zyv9uvgyd97x6yhg3pnlrssqe53v8xam9aa4q3a0jlcswasvhpaq8995ts

Didn’t find it as well. I reconed it’s still early dev stage, so probably a bit later.
