Still building, still obsessed with making Bitcoin accessible to everyone.
This is what happens when you find your mission and stick to it.
Bitcoin-only since 2020. 🟠

We just turned 5! 🥳
Since day one, people told us we’d never make it.
“You can’t grow a Bitcoin-only app”
“You have to add altcoins to survive”
“The market’s too small”
Five years later, we’ve proven them wrong.
🟠50 employees
🟠500K+ app downloads
🟠80K+ active users
🟠$1B+ invested via app
Proud of this, but we're just getting started.

Bitcoin only since day 1
"I'll buy Bitcoin when it crashes" - everyone who's been waiting since $20k.
Well, it's not crashing. You're just getting left behind 👋
I feel sick after reading this
"Bitcoin is risky" - say people holding currency that loses 6% of its value every year on purpose 💀
If you own Bitcoin and 0 Bitcoin ETFs I want to follow you
We had only implemented a third-party service (Breez SDK) within our application. Therefore, we had no direct control over its development
D.O.R.A. it's fucking huge, I really like to know which part are you requested to comply. URL for anyone interested: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2022/2554/oj/eng
Feel free to ask this to privacy@relai.app, as I’m not a lawyer 🙂
If your time horizon is measured in decades, Bitcoin isn’t risky.
What’s risky is not owning any.
However, my message was to point out that although we have to be compliant with the rules, we have chosen the way that protects our users' data
Idk, you should ask them :)
Hey! Totally understand the concern. Here’s some context:
We recently removed the Lightning feature from the app to stay focused on its core mission: secure, self-custodial Bitcoin savings. Lightning is still a promising technology, but the current self-custodial experience just wasn’t reliable enough for our users. We’re keeping an eye on it and plan to revisit it once it matures.
As for the face scan, it’s part of our effort to comply with the new EU regulation DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act). To protect users from fraud and identity theft, we now require biometric verification, but we do this WITHOUT storing any biometric data.
We use Keyless, a privacy-preserving solution that creates a cryptographic key using your facial scan locally on your device. That data is NEVER stored by us or anywhere else )not on our servers, not in the cloud). It’s just a way to verify that you are you, while keeping your privacy intact.
I am not allowed to accept them since it can be sus for a company to accept "donation" from strangers. But I thank you anyway 🧡
