Amazing. I've been using nostr for two years or so and today was the first time I ever had to block someone for being an asshole.
It was a nice run. Let's see if we can make it another two years before the next one. 🤞
Or, you know, maybe you should consider the possibility that we don't need a conspiracy theory to explain the sad state of the world when the consensus facts are already damning enough. And also maybe stop assuming that everyone who disagrees with you on the facts is a bad actor.
Economist here. As much as it pains me to agree with Krugman about anything, he's basically right here. Are there *conceptual* issues with the reported statistics (GDP, CPI, etc.)? Sure. Are there possible biases from the way data is collected (e.g., the recent switch from in-person to phone surveys for CPI)? Yep. Do politicians misuse statistics when they advocate for their policies? Boy howdy, they sure do! But is the USG outright faking data the way that, e.g., China has famously done with GDP? I don't think so, and I don't know of any credible economist who makes that claim.
It's not as if the numbers paint a rosy picture of a successful economy that Biden and Trump can seriously claim to be proud of. The situation is so abysmal by the government's own account that we don't need conspiracy theories about faked data to know there's something rotten in Denmark (or, in this case, DC)!

That's how I ended up with about 1000 unread books. 😂
If it's something relevant to research/teaching, I use audiobooks for a first reading to get the big picture or a re-reading to refresh my memory. It's not a substitute for close study of the written text, but a complement to it.
If I find something important to follow up on, or something that sparks a new thought, I'll stop and make a quick audio note about it in Google Keep.
As someone with a PhD, I'm compelled to point out that the Latin root of "doctor" is about teaching. And Wright is no teacher. https://www.etymonline.com/word/doctor
It's like a warm spring day here in WV. I might have to turn off the S9 that heats my apartment. ;)
I scraped the side of my car on the way into the automated car wash last week. 😣
I'm usually only increasing the rate once I'm seeing HTLCs failing due to insufficient liquidity and/or the channel is unbalanced, so there's not much risk. I typically increase by only 5 ppm, because I'm trying to find the free where flows will balance and then leave it there. (Not really achievable on small channels, but realistic for, say, 5+ m.)

Not sure what you mean by "open source email domain", but if you mean hosting your email where you can access it via open protocols like IMAP, POP3, and SMTP, then I can help with that. Not cheap like Wix, but support not outsourced to clueless script monkeys. ;) Feel free to reach out via sales@bizgrok.com to discuss (web site is horribly outdated).
