I'm betting this was the last snow yesterday morning since it was super wet and heavy and was gone by the afternoon. This morning it is 40F.
The seedlings in the greenhouse are growing well and the sun and warmer temps are helping get the greenhouse nice and warm in the day. The S9 is keeping the base temp well above freezing and I saw it got up to 90F when it was sunny.
The trailer got hooked up for the grain run I have done this morning which ended up massive at 10 barrels, and now I have now idea where I will dump all the grain at...

Our neurotic weather continued with a nice and sunny morning yesterday which meant I was able to go get a #paragliding flight in. It was a short flight and really low to the ground the whole time but it was a safe take off and a safe landing, which is the most important parts.
Mid day I popped open the beehive that is vacant of #bees but still held a pile of honeycomb with #honey. It was built above the main frames so for the next batch of bees I needed to remove it. It is pounds of comb and honey that I have in the house now and will be working to separate it.
Of course as we went to bed it snowed last night but this morning there is just an inch and the temps are well above freezing so it should be gone pretty quick today.

We have a distillery in town and I bought 2 bottles of their Triticale Straight Whiskey aged in port barrels back in 2017? and they were $80 ea. Good liquor is worth the price!
I love me a good tequila so am always on the look out for new ones. Even if I can't get them they go on the wish list. Between bourbon and tequila I could have a serious problem if I had the money to buy the top shelf I want.

The signs of Spring are here and the weather yesterday was very Spring like. Styro-snow is not generally a mid-winter type of snowfall. The afternoon saw a bunch of cells come through that dropped wave after wave on the farm.
The tiller got a new nice and strong belt installed to get it ready for the workout it will be seeing soon. Once the ground has dried a bit more I will be able to put it to work. I spent some time in the afternoon on the upper property pulling dead trees out of the ground, but there is still a lot more to do.
This morning I am going to go #paragliding since the winds will be mellow enough before they kick back into gear this afternoon.

What looked to be a solid rain storm yesterday turned into just a wind storm since it stayed to the south of us all day. The winds got stronger over the day and were the strongest in the evening after dark. I will see once it's light if we have much damage or debris laying around.
Took advantage of the nice low fees to convert #LN to #BTC and will keep my eyes open for other such times to keep the trickle going.
The greenhouse is plugging along nicely and the S9 is keeping it adequately warm, between 40 and 60F with it having spiked to 90F when it wa sunny the other day. I alos found our #chives have popped which is my first real sign of Spring being here.
Back to the normal routine today as we start the week. I'm hoping the winds are mellow tomorrow so I might be able to go get another flight in.

Great time to transfer/convert some of my #LN from #Alby to my #Sparrow wallet with the nice low #BTC fees. #Boltz fee was minimal for the swap and the transaction popped up in Sparrow instantly. All in all a good experience!

Outstanding day yesterday which started with a run to town for grain before dawn then spread the grain after the disgusting ManUtd match.
Mid day I went north to meet up with our #flying club for a #paragliding day. We have a number of sites around the Chewelah area that we can fly but my favorite is Parker's where we all ended up flying from. It was my first flight since November so I was a bit nervous but more anxious than anything.
The flight was good but a little wild since I couldn't get forward progress, only side slipping the whole way. I was standing on my speed bar but just couldn't get my wing to go, I am on the very light side of the wing's range. It was incredible that we got all 9 pilots launched and landed safely in the middle of February!

So amazing to get my first flight of the year in today. 9 of us paraglided off Parker's and it felt SOOOO GOOD to be in the air again after 4 months. I can't wait for the next weather window to allow more flight.

Yesterday was marred by my jaw pain all day long which made getting anything accomplished a good bit harder. I did manage to finally close up gaps on the kitchen door. It's in the old part of the house (96 years old) so there were some pretty healthy gaps around it. It seats much better and now has the gaps all closed. Only took me 15 years to figure it out...
Later in the day I was able to build the door flaps for the dog door. I had just an old towel tacked up to create the dual flap but it didn't do much to keep cold out. I found a piece of pond liner rubber sheet and cut stirps which I stapled to a strip of wood then screwed to the wall over the outer opening. It works WAY better and will block the air movement a lot more than the towel did.
