That... that was a lot of shit to shovel. I decided it best to get it done yesterday as the coop had gotten a bit deep and also I have my chiro appointment today that will help the hurt. It took me an hour and a half to fill the bed liner on the trailer to overfilled and then 15 minutes to empty it out. The birds are MUCH happier now and I have the load dumped well away from the house so we aren't accosted with the smell.
Today I pickup the chick starter/grower for the 25 turkeys we are getting next week. I look forward to hearing gobbles🦃 again later this summer.

Glorious sunshine. We have a nice window of cloudless days to get the minimal vitamin D available from teh still low in the sky sun. Yesterday mid day I hiked up the hill to check on a tipped over tree and to scope the upper pen which is melting much faster than by the house. Soon it should be gone, I hope.
I finally broke down and began the repair process on the landing gear for my #airplane. I have been reticent to attempt the welding but am to the point where I just have to do it. I got the grinding started on the parts and need to finish getting them cleaned up today. Both axles need to be good and straight so the wheels track correctly. It will be very important that I get the welds correct and the axles true. With them fixed it will be flyable just it won't have the front cowling...
Managed to catch the dip and added more #BTC to my meager stack and will continue to stuff the sats away.

It was another round of Spring snow yesterday but nicely by the afternoon we had the main part of the storm move off and give us a nice sunny afternoon. Cold as balls this morning but will warm up nicely now with no clouds. The greenhouse is managing these temps like a pro thanks to the S9 hashing away happily and it has made more than half of what it cost already while doubling as a heater.
It's the time of the year where I am anxiously awaiting the real thaw so I can get to working the soil in the gardens in preparation for planting. Feels like I am spinning my wheels sometimes but then I calm down and remember that plants demand patience.

After the abysmal showing by #ManUtd yesterday morning I cleansed the palate with the UK Open as the sun began to melt the snow around the farm. We were on track for it to melt off but then got another coating overnight. Soon it should be gone.
I made a new batch of tortillas and these ended up with 2 cups of quinoa flour by mistake. All good though as it just adds more protein to them but it did make the dough react a bit differently than normal. They still came out super tasty though and began to vanish as soon as they were made. The old saying, "the best compliment to a chef is a clean plate" is fitting to this situation.

We got hit again yesterday, the snow fell heavy and fast in the morning before beginning hte rapid melt midday. It didn't quite all go but much of it and the rest should melt today. The boys had a birthday party midday that they went to for a few hours while I was at home watching the UK darts Open and the Kraken game.
Our evening was spent at another birthday party for twins born on leap day and this was their 13th birthday. Super cool venue and the party was great, the boys ran themselves ragged, and everyone had a great time.

It is for sure Spring now with the weather changing so dramatically during the day. Yesterday morning we got some nice sunshine but by the time evening rolled around we got a solid round of snow that came plowing through the region. It only lasted half an hour and was melted super fast but the snow this morning is a lot more likely to stick around longer, at least until the sun comes up and starts to warm things up.
Today is birthday party day as the boys have one to go to mid day then we all have one in the evening to go to.

Yesterday morning was a massive grain run that tested the capacity of my trailer but managed to just fit, without losing it on the trip home. The even fatter sheep now were super happy that I piled the entire load into their pen and spent the day up to their knees in it munching away. The birds were all massed around the piles each time I looked out the windows of the house all day long.
Between the #Braiins new #LN payments and my chiro appointment it made for a nice mellow morning after the huge amount of work with the grain. The PDC was on midday while I dove into IFS materials then in the evening the Kraken managed a solid win at home.
