My alts are all ones I've been holding for years, except for Hive where I write my blog. It seems there is always "that" group who are uber excited and all they can think about is pushing as hard as possible. It's the crypto religion.
I not nearly as "maxi" as most here it seems. I have my dirty alts as well as my sats but tend to stack silently. The farm takes enough effort and time and gives me a lot of potential content, I can let everyone else rant and rave about BTC.

After a bunch of faffing about in the morning yesterday I managed to get the turkeys moved. They have gotten large enough that the little brooder hut was just getting to be too small. The hen and chicks in the pallet hut seemed like they were going to be okay out on their own so I ushered them out and cleaned the hut out. I had to haul 5 wheelbarrows of shit across the farm but did get the hut cleaned nicely. Wood chips then shavings, feed and water, then they all got dropped in. They were nice and happy and huddled together beneath the light when I went out to close the coop.

The top garden got planted yesterday save 3 rows of corn I need seeds for. Later in the day I finished planting the spuds after tilling a section of ground. Over 500 spots planted with taters should net me over a 1000lbs comes harvest time. Best part is that I plant them then come back and dig them. no daily harvests. The whole point of the garden this year is to vastly limit the amount of daily work I need to do to allow me more chances to do things OFF the farm.

As I prepped the area where I planted what puts me over 500 potato plantings I found this little blue tailed skink. It was surpisingly chill and let me carry it over to the side where it scurried under a rock when I set it down. I love finding them and make sure to put them safe places where they won't get hurt by my movement.

Mine nearly had leaves sprouted on them and easily 18"+. Crazy how much they want to grow. I love the variety and they can grow pretty huge.
There is this constant desire to suck the rich dick by so many peeople in spite of the evidence that they care not one iota for any of the masses. It's like there is the hope that that drip of goo is going to magically make them rich just the same. Idolatry is dusgusting in all forms.

Last rows in the pole garden got seeded then I stuffeed more potatoes into the soil. The main garden got 3 rows of Red Nordland planted and the sprouts were incredible. The reds don't store nearly as well as the yellow do but the sprouts were WAY bigger on them. Thankfully they were all tender enough that I could wrap them up before stuffing them in the soil. I have enough of the red left that I will put them in the upper garden today which will take me to about 460 spots planted. Last year I got 488lbs from 250 spots so this year I hope to get near 1000lbs by harvest.

After getting the irrigation lines laid out yesterday morning and the plastic all flaked and weighted down with a plethora of rocks I got to stuffing seeds in the ground. By the end of the day I had 13 rows seeded with only potatoes and 2 seeds left on hand for today. I am awaiting my seed order to get the other rows done.
My tobacco from last year that seeded has volunteered in the greenhouse and I found a bunch of seedlings popped up. I will transplant a bunch of them outside today as I am hoping to naturalize the tobacco on the farm. I threw seeds EVERYWHERE last year so I really hope to see stands of tobacco around the farm. It is a super good pest repellant so the more the merrier.

I got to see the tip of the eclipse before the clouds moved in... No biggie as we were only at 20% here in the PNW. I did get some peas planted during the eclipse so we'll have to see if they come up shady or not...
This is the first year I have tilled the entire main garden in one day. My tiller is a beast and chewed through the soil this year, way faster than the old tiller could. This is also the earliest I have planted in 14 years of gardening here. Today the irrigation and plastic get laid out then I can get seeds going in the ground.

Spent yesterday dealing with TMJ pain but managed to get things done despite. The pole garden is all tilled and put together and I got 2 rows of potatoes planted in it, though I may fill the other 3 rows with spuds too but I'm still deciding. I tilled in the main garden and got 3 rows ready and 2 planted. The 3rd row will get fence and peas planted.
The Matrix movie marathon was on all afternoon as the boys really wanted to watch them. I got a fire going in the pit and grilled some nice steaks for dinner.
Eclipse day today will be anticlimactic for us as we only get a 20% shot so I will likely peek.
