Quite the busy day yesterday. Started with the grain run first thing which the birds and animals were quite happy to dig into. I got work done around the farm mid day before the weather moved in in the afternoon. We got a nice bout of hail with the largest being about half an inch but not hard as rocks. A number of thunderstorms rolled past over the rest of the day. I was able to get seeds replanted between the showers which did well to water them right away for me.

After picking up our quarter of beef yesterday we hit the ice cream shop next door right after they opened. They boys of course had to get the hyper colored ice creams. Kids and colors I swear.... now they get 3 days of pooping blue.
We got to go out on a rare dinner date, the main reason was so our sitter could hang with the dog so he is much more mellow with her. The boys love her watching them so it helps. Once back from dinner and drinks we were walking around the farm going over a few things with her and I grabbed one of the young toms for a few pics. They are super chill but rather talkative. Then a nice band of rain came through.
Grain run this morning which will get emptied soon to very expectant animals and birds.

Pretty busy day around the farm yesterday. Picked up feed for the birds, moved the last bale into the sheep, checked on gardens, excavated more strawberry plants out before cutting the grass. I have room made now for the eventual Blackstone we will be getting and I now have the space to install the gas line for it.
I spent some of my day digging around on maps and have found a clear cut area that has the perfect looking topography for me to paraglide it. The paper company has access permits to the many thousands of acres of timber land they own and if today's drive proves the area to be good for flying I will get a permit for sure.
We go pickup our side of beef today which I am rather anxious for.... MMMMM STEAK!

It was finally time to excavate my strawberry plants from their area that has become infested with grasses. These strawberries moved with us 15 years ago and have been transplanted around the farm a few times over the years. Well, it's again time for a relocation though they will likely get potted for now so I can better prepare their next home. I need to make it so the grasses CAN'T invade, which that will be the crux.
Found a nifty site about [Runes](attfreya.com/) that I had never seen before. It's a Russian site so loads slowly but is one of the better I have found. Diving back into the #Futhark again.

State parks VASTLY limit the activites that are allowed within the borders. Very similar to National parks. Many activities that are leave no trace are restricted, which makes little sense, or there are blatant decisions made like Yosemite that allows Hang Gliders to fly from Glacier Point but dissallows any soft wing like a paraglider since it is "so similar to base wings" that we got lumped in. The only real "public lands" are DNR but that is getting screwed up by the psychos in charge now too.

Got a really nice hike then flight in yesterday but found out it IS a state park and so no flying. The US is such a shit country in so many ways and the brain washing involved to keep everyone acquiescent and accepting of the every increasing stack of useless laws is astonishing.

After a wander up the hill to check the fence line yesterday I was in the garden harvesting the #rhubarb. The plants were all full of themselves and needed to be put in their place. 22 pounds of stalks later and full arm loads of leaves (which went over the side of the hill) I had the stalks in the house where later in the day I cut them all down to small pieces and bagged them.
The #turkeys are nearing the point of integration with the chickens which will also require teaching them to go in the main coop before the door shuts automatically at night. Luckily it normally only takes a couple nights and they have it figured out.
Super stoked to go #fly a new site today. This could have the potential for VERY good flying terrain and potential for endless ridge soaring.

After the morning rain and the meeting at the school yesterday morning I spent much of my day getting my #mowstr on around the farm. I managed to FINALLY get the coop door code fixed, it was a rookie error in the end but now the open and close time updates automatically. We have new growth exploding all around the farm and I'm very happy to see my blackberries have made it through the winter.
I have found a new place to fly and will be going to investigate it tomorrow, and maybe fly it. It has the potential to be a killer flying site that is right on the Spokane river and has a 200 foot tall hill that is shaped like a bowl. I very much expect it to be very soarable.

Mid day yesterday we went up to Davis Lake to kayak for Mother's Day. Of course we had to fight the head wind the entire way down the lake but got to watch the Ospreys flying and diving. The paddle back was quite fast thanks to the tail wind.
Back on the farm I got the curtain installed on the studio which should really help cut down on the heat inside. I nearly blinded myself from the sun glare off the metal siding while doing it but managed to get them up nicely. Grilled steaks for dinner in the fire pit and found that my cherry trees are infested and need a good spraying.
