Morning #Nostr

Yesterday was a bit shitty as I got whatever ick the rest have had but thankfully it is waning already this morning thanks to big doses of NAC. I have the #YAGI #antenna built and tested a bit but still need to fiigure out how to fix the tower in place. We went out on teh farm later in the day and cut our #Christmas tree down and the boys quickly had it decorated. I printed the Tardis ornament then scaled it and printed one that is now the star on the tree.

Well, the antenna is together and I tested it inside which gave me a reading within the 140 MHz range so I think I can tune this thing to hit 2m when mounted on the tower. I have a riser from an old dish tv mount that I am going ro use so I can aim the thing from the horizon to 70° vertical and then it will be on the rotator. This NanoVNA is pretty fucking cool now that I know what I am looking at.

While everyone else was out shopping yesterday we stayed on the farm all day. I got a bunch of prints done and have my antenna parts all ready and just need the boom today. I also have now caught the suds from the family and feel like pure dog shit this morning so today will be filled with a lot of suffering.

Looks SICK! Super good job! You even can manage the old windows since the rest of the house is so insanely efficient. I've got a boat load of windows I got from CL, just did a posting saying, "have windows? I'll come pick them up for free and tkae them away." Got a dozen respnses and have been using them since all over the farm. Your place looks amazing!

All I need is the boom and I can get my #YAGI #antenna built. I wasn't going out today for anything so will hit the store tomorrow for it. The #3dprinter is so badass and it just took a bit drilling to make everything fit. My big question as of now is tuning... Do I go gamma, choke, tuner box? I'll get it together and see what my VNA says I guess. Soon my tower and antenna will be erected.

Good "post gorging" morning #Nostr

First thing yesterday I was on the road to town for spent brewing grain which got spread around the main garden then the rest dumped to the sheep. They and the birds were ecstatic and dove right into it. I'm figuring out the #3Dprinter now and am correcting mistakes that I am inevitably making. Got my ski wax vises printed and just need the bolts and nuts to put them together. I also got the parts all printed for my #YAGI #antenna which I will put together today.

Thanksgiving at our best family friend's house and the kids all had a blast playing. We ate a delicous meal then before heading for home I hooked up my wood chipper to the car to tow it home so I can get to work around the farm.

Good to know. Probably doesn't matter the manufacturer either?

I've got a ton of gift ideas to print in the next weeks but first I am getting my antenna parts done so I can get my tower up.

Found the problem with my #3dprinter, after pulling the head apart a few times I finally hacked the end of hte filament off and fouind that it had a thick section that wouldn't fit through the feeder holes. Cut it out and everything works like it's supposed to. I wonder how many people have this happen with filament?

It's Turkey day #Nostr

Yesterday there was much learning and a few screwups as I pushed models through the #3Dprinter. In trying to print the ski vise I found out that I need to put supports in places and not just accept the model file is all correct. I did get cases done for a pair of my #Meshtastic devices and some parts for my #hamradio #antenna. This morning I have to troubleshoot the lack of filament feeding as it stopped mid print last night...

Just finished #3Dprinting the case for my #Meshtastic and have it together. I need to get the right sized bolts so just used cotter pins for now. Super slick and way nicer having a good case. The printer settings must not have been right as the underside of the screen side was loopy and needed trimming.

I grew up in a house of pack rats and paths through the shit. I learned early to do seasonal full cleaning/organizing of my bedroom to make a single neat and organized place in the house I could exist in. Now I fight the mess fight with wife and boys and they are VERY slowly beginning to organize.

In trying to research possibile technologies for capturing #nanoplastics I came across this about Houston and their water supply...

"Our interests in this topic arise from the mandate for the greater Houston area to completely convert to surface water by the year 2030 to combat ground subsidence while meeting the demands associated with the projected 45% growth in population over the same timeframe."

Holy shit is that crazy! Mandated to stop using well water and only surface water... which is very likely to be contaminated with numerous compounds...

It would seem that electroflotation microfiltration works well with non-salt water, but there has to be a tech that can work in salt water. Thinking about the vast #microplastic #pollution in the ocean and how to approach removal in a larger scale method.

Another rotation #Nostr

It was not a good night with my severe pain levels which then lead to a day of minimal work. The chiro helped in the morning but then by afternoon the pain had returned. I managed to get the table built for the #3dprinter and have it in place. It is WAY stronger and doesn't move at all as the printer is working on fill-in. Made my first printing mistakes but now see that I DO need some adhesive on the build plate.

Pretty sure Washington state has zero in person voting, it's all by mail. How convenient that the results always end the way they do.

Stupid easy. The Creality software does so much work and right now I am just printing what others have made while I learn the various softwares.

Morning #Nostr

Yesterday was wild, I managed to screw myself up pretty good mid day removing the old antenna mast from the chimney. Standing on the sloped surface 20 feet off the ground and having to lift a 23 foot piece of 4" pvc vertically and balanced was almost more than my body would allow. After I was able to rest a bit while I made the elements for my #YAGI #antenna.

FINALLY my #3dprinter delivered! I got it setup and soon had my first ever print going. I chose the Tardis on purpose since this printer is a nice representation of it, bigger on the inside than the outside. 50 minutes later it was finished. I have SO MANY ideas to print out!

Ahhhh shit! 3D printer in the HOUSE! 1st print went off like a champ and damn do I have a line of files to put through it!

Wife was watching the results online the night of and at like 9pm the leaders were largely Rep, then suddenly in the morning surprise the Dems were in front. This state is such garbage and is owned by Gates.

Fot the love of all that is.... FEDEX DELIVER MY PACKAGES!!!! I can see the highway at all times, why route me to the END of the route? They all do this shit! Just put us at the beginning of the route and then send them off into the hills! Now all I can do is blame the shitty AI since all the humans have been removed from the process years ago.
