We went #skiing yesterday at 49N and the mountain was really busy, but despite that I found untouched powder all in the trees. It's nice to know the place so well so I know right where to go for those hidden gems. The boys had a blast with their friends, I with Art, and B on her own. The boys were destroyed after the afternoon.

Stoicism saved me. I found it Sept 2019. Dove Deep fast. Then the plandemic happened and the wisdom I had learned carried me through the insanity that was all around and kept me grounded.
The calm before the snow yesterday allowed me to get a bit of shoveling done in preparation. It ended up another few inches overnight so nothing too crazy. Kept pumping out the #HSW parts all day as I have numerous places I want to install the panels to help with better organizing around the house.
The #4nations US v Canada game was the best start to a hockey game EVER! 3 fights in the first 9 seconds... Hands down the best start ever.

There will be a LOT of people knocking themselves out trying to get ALL the stupid out. It's embedded REALLY deep in many. Sometimes there just is no fixing some stupids.
Actual snow. Managed about 2 inches over the day yesterday and we are looking at more tonight. It's only taken all winter for us to get a meaningful amount to stick around. The warmer temps next week may not allow it to stay though.
The HSW panels are superb and I'm finding spots all over the house to utilize them. The bathroom ones are the best since the bathrrom is quite small so this gets things onto the wall and off the flat surfaces. The bathroom has a whole different feel now with the organization.

Our last frigid morning yesterday, it's 30 degrees warmer this morning. Of course the animal waters were in need of filling and the line was not thawing at the coop. I figured out to fill a pair of half barrels in the bed of my truck and drove them over to the troughs. WAY WAY easier than other options. #WorkSmarterNotHarder.
There is something weird at Norfolk Naval yard, a pair of submerged ships on the aft of a submarine... WTF!?

I was the baby in the car seat facing backwards strapped to the back rack of the motorcycle in 1980. Bubble faced helmet and all, as my dad rocketed us through the twisty roads of the Sierras.
Our week of actual winter is coming to an end as the snow/rain is inbound htis weekend. The creek has some really nice ice built up in it though thanks to the sub zero temps. Part of the creek is a glass smooth sheet of ice that almost mandates skates to move on it.
Modding my K1C more and swapped the hinges out for the full opening geared ones which makes life much easier and safer for the door and printer. I DID fight with the damn thing for hours trying to get teh damn filament to feed correct after the first few layers. I figureed it out eventually.
4 Nations hockey started with a great game and hopefully they are all as competitive, which they should be considering it's the best players in the world.

The freeze persists, but only another day or two, then it will be raining by Sunday, and I'd bet the end of Winter. I mean the creek can't even freeze over despite the sub zero temps, so I've got the hunch we are heading for the thaw. Spent the day keeping hte printer going and the fireplace then took the boys to school skate night in the evening. Went out to eat for my hatching day while they skated.
