“Think like a man of action, act like a man of thought”

I’ve thought about this from the “mine the asteroids for gold” perspective. They’ll probably do it slowly, just like printing money. Inflation of gold not noticeable to the average person. Probably keep it around the 1-3% where it currently sits. It’s not much different than the Fed. Maybe a bit more transparent.

Nobody would ever just announce “we found a bunch of gold” cause the market would tank before they sold it.

That absolute scarcity makes Bitcoin very special

They are pretty awesome. I used them with a nunchuck for a multisig test and it worked really well. Nunchuck allows for signing through QR codes so you can just have tap signers securely in different states and still have no problem signing within a short amount of time. Much more user friendly than hard wallets for tech challenged family members.

“Hey aunt Susie, remember that credit card I gave you? Can you get it out of your safe and just tap it to your phone? Thanks”

One of the best books on Bitcoin I’ve read. Well deserved congratulations 👍

I really tried to listen to some of the things he has to say. My conclusion after a while… waste of time and the dude is a complete weirdo

I’ve been trying to wrap my head around these issues popping up and I have way more questions than answers. I run a node, have a small personal miner and self custody, but I’m pretty new to this.

Without fully understanding what’s going on, logically I question the motivations of devs who are trying to shut out nostr:npub1wnlu28xrq9gv77dkevck6ws4euej4v568rlvn66gf2c428tdrptqq3n3wr and nostr:npub1lh273a4wpkup00stw8dzqjvvrqrfdrv2v3v4t8pynuezlfe5vjnsnaa9nk out of the conversation. I’m leaning towards running Bitcoin knots but not sure if that is the solution.

My main question is: Running Core or Knots, what does that due to Bitcoin itself? Is that like a hard fork from block size wars… Bitcoin or BCH.

If the answer to this is too long to write out, can you point me in the right direction to keep digging into this?

Great episode… I started sending this to all my newbie friends. Very easy to digest
