If it goes Free to play, I'm refunding SO fast, they won't even know where the money went.
That would be massive disrespect to anyone that's already paid $30 for the game.😒

To those who think Fediverse should federate EVERYTHING:
Can I have some of that free unlimited data storage?
I'm already scraping pennies to pay for what does federate. I can't imagine if *everything* federated...I probably wouldn't be here...😳
Do yourself a favor.
If you don't know how something works, don't comment on it.
It's easy!
No knowledge, no comment.
It's also okay if you want to say you don't know how it works.
Just don't talk out of your ass. When you do that, you look like an ass.
Wait...what was I just thinking about...?😳
Every. Damn. Time.🤦♂️

Well, damn....
I never thought I'd never say this sentence, but it seems as though Jesse "The Body" Ventura has been signed to a WWE Legends contract.
I know they had that little stint where it seemed like him and Vince had hashed out their problems, but it was very short and I didn't think we'd see him near WWE again.

So is telegram actually E2EE or isn't it??🤨
I've seen *loads* of people claim that employees can access group chats and 1-on-1 chats along with having access to a lot of personal customer data.
However, when googled, it definitely says it's encrypted and can't be accessed and people today are acting as that is the case as well...😳
Where's the disconnect?

I would like to speak to the manager of the Calendar about removing August 30th from existence. Thanks.
If it no longer exists, I can't age, right?😅
This post ☝️was inspired by nostr:npub17ranr5vpp20etheaz78u6e72pvyc0xk3r6rgnetfvtxc88acat2q4nhenz most recent post which I recently boosted.
He is a Nostr user, using a Fediverse bridge to connect to us here.
His username is a public key, that is why it's so long and random.
oh, I'd have to read it? I'd just be on my phone the entire time.😂
The block celebratory culture here is quite dumb...
Fedi is definitely good for connecting with people and having discussions.
However, if anything happens to go awry, your chances of being Fediblocked and having the entirety of Fedi celebrate your mass blocking, are quite high, and it's really shitty and weird.
Usually, admins don't go to Fediblock to check for mishaps, updates, or changes. Once someone is blocked, they're blocked.
Use Fediblock for the worst of the worst. In it's current state of blocking people for sneezing wrong, it's useless.

the easiest way to explain it, is like Nostr, but one relay holds and controls your keys instead of the relays distributing the keys across the network. This gives more power to the server owners who can ban users for any reason they want.
well if you go to https://social.beaware.live/@BeAware
That's me. On my own site, all by myself. Yet, I am able to talk to you on Nostr via the Momostr.pink bridge AND I can talk to others on the 25,000+ Fediverse "sites".
Basically the point for me, is to be able to promote myself on my own site, but still be able to talk to others on other sites, without someone else being in control of who I can or cannot talk to. I am in control of me.
no...? Fediverse is just a nickname for things running on the ActivityPub protocol...
Matter of fact, I think Nostr only exists because someone saw the way ActivityPub puts servers ahead of the users and decided that it wasn't a good way to do things so they made Nostr.🤷♂️
What have attracted you to Fedi(it’s mastodon, right?) and what are differences with Nostr for you ?
It's not just mastodon😬that's like the one rule of Fediverse, don't conflate mastodon with Fedi overall. Mastodon is a company that's making changes to their own software and because of the sheer amount of people using it, the other devs of other software have to also add that stuff or be left behind. That's pretty bad.
But, I found Fediverse last year when Reddit boycotts were happening and ended up on Lemmy and then Mastodon. After that, I've pretty much been dabbling with different softwares on other instances just to see all the things.
a person called expert plus. They were asking how to create an Apple ID cause the website was giving errors and then started cursing people out, then when I blocked them, they DMed me on like 6 other accounts I had to also block...😑
Furthermore definitely don't harass me on 4 more accounts after I block you! 🤬
I'm gonna make it clear, idc how long we've been following each other, if I see you being an asshole to random people for no reason whatsoever, you're getting a block from me.
End of story.😒
well, I thought, incorrectly, that a lot of Nostr users were initially rejected in Fediverse and found their way to Nostr. That's my mistake.
Let me explain.
Fediverse is similar to Nostr, yet less censorship resistant.
There are servers here that are called instances that host users and data (posts, photos, accounts, videos, etc). The private and public keys are stored and kept by the server instead of the individual user.
The biggest difference for me, is the amount of people. Theres about 15 million people here and Threads will be integrating soon which will be a lot more. Also, there's a third party bridge to Bluesky that just launched.
As you can tell, it's less censorship resistant because the servers host the public and private keys, not the end user.
Also, there's no way to directly pay creators like there is on Nostr with Lightning.
