I agree with your general statement. However do not discount the role that personal and informal networks of elites play in aligning their interests and their actions.
Some are blatant, like the WEF's meetings at Davos and the likes, but the most important ones are not in the open. They are not even "organized" or institutional in nature.
A bunch of ultra rich dudes getting together for a few days on someone's megayacht in the Maldives and casually discussing "desirable regulation", then going back home to lobby their regulators; weekly "casual" UFC match nights at somebody's mansion where "economic outlook" is in the menu; etc etc.
Damn, replied to the wrong note. But well, still applies I guess
Ohh it figures. Although really, what fun is a 12 gauge if it's not spitting 1 oz balls of red hot lead?
I totally see why. But in a home defense situation I would worry about overpenetration, rather than a potential body armor-clad attacker. The problem is not just maybe hitting an unintended target but also that you want the projectile to stay inside the attacker for maximum damage.
Were I live firearms are also illegal -- other than for "sport use". So I own guns legally, but I'd be in deep shit if I ever used them outside of the range or of a fully authorized and reported hunting event.
Of course, in such a situation that I actually had to use my guns, I'd rather deal with the consequences of breaking the law than of not doing it.
Well, it always depends. In a let's call it "dynamic scenario", a handgun is the best because it's portable and concealable. So you can bug out more easily than if you were carrying something bigger.
If you find yourself actually having to shoot indoors or at close range, it's serviceable but a shotgun is always better. In the open field and mid or long range, then definitely a handgun is not great to shoot at bad guys and, again, the advantage it offers is getting the hell away more easily.
Y'all mean gm.
I totally agree with you. Been saying since the last bull that we are in no way "early". This is the last time plebs are going to have access to self-custodied BTC. Even in the best case scenario, if they do not fully ban self-custody and start to track and massively blacklist people, the prices will make it impossible to accumulate any meaningful amount of BTC. No more life-changing stacking for the plebs.
Kind of, actually. It's kind of cheesy, but I very often look at my no coiner wife and can't help but smile while thinking that we'll be OK when we're old thanks to my psychopathic stacking, hodling and never spending or selling.
Obviously. What confuses you? If you have a problem, any type of problem, you obviously want something that overpowers it.
Anyhow, the most important use case for guns is deterrence. If the bad guys show up with guns, you want to be able to show them a bigger gun, indeed. Chances are that they either give up before starting any serious shit, or that they bail when they hear your first BOOM.
In a home defense situation, a shotgun is the way to go against anything. 12 gauge, 00 buckshot, old and tried, effective as fuck, yet safer than rifles (or slugs). If you're afraid of thin walls, do a 4 instead of 00.
On the street, I don't see any realistic option other than a concealable handgun. I mean, if legal, you can carry a rifle in your car I guess. In case, I don't know, you find yourself in the middle of a Hamas-style attack all of a sudden?
I'm arguing against nostr:npub1vyrx2prp0mne8pczrcvv38ahn5wahsl8hlceeu3f3aqyvmu8zh5s7kfy55 's uninformed and misinforming comment about those demonstrations. They have nothing to do with people being fed up with globalism - exactly the opposite. The demos are pure fascism, so they are promoting the globalist fascist corporatist regime, really.
And by the way, I am a Catalan who is obviously in favor of independence. On nationalistic grounds, not because "it's the current thing" like many Catalans. And yes, because I believe power must be fragmented and as close to the individual as possible, I also think a Catalan State should be devoid of power, to get us as close as possible to a confederation of freely associated individuals.

Catalonia's self-appointed leaders as as badly globalist, or worse, than Spain's.
The demonstrations, and the broader decades-long anti-independence campaign, are simply good old Spanish ultranationalism and anti-Catalan xenophobia. That's the drug of choice of the Corporatist fascist globalist regime to keep the Spanish plebs tame.
In Catalonia nationalism has failed, it simply does not exist, even though the pro-independence camp would clearly win in a clean election. But those (Nation vs State) are separate issues right now as far as the overwhelming majority of Catalans is concerned. The drug of choice of the globalist corporatist regime for them is much more mainstream - ESG, "progressivism", and "the current thing" -- with the caveat that being a wannabe communist intellectual colony of 1960's France, Catalans are rabidly anti-American and pro-Palestine.
You're clueless. Let's leave it at that.
Thanks 🙏
Tai, hamachi, hotate, kohada, akami, salmon aburi, toro. The akami and toro look like wild bluefin, but that may be guessing too much. nostr:note1f8w2vascnh6uuwet62ly6ajwxmwevzxqxmajmdxeujzspdss2u7qezyq4j
This one, I let it cook for 4.5 hours approx. It was a broad pot, not so tall, so there was too much evaporation.
