Depending on where you live and where you buy, true chickens with their full grown combs and wattles , may be a rare sight.
Incoming.
Even today when BTC's value (market cap) still has to grow at least by one order of magnitude, its costs of transaction are too high and its deflationary issuance makes it too valuable to spend.
I posted a noted recently about how in the Euro zone we have SEPA, basically instantly zero-cost transmitted fiat, bank account to bank account. In Spain there's this thing called Bizum, phone number to phone number, obviously linked to bank accounts, but again, free and instant, with a couple of taps on the screen of your phone.
The case for a daily use currency for spending is already covered solved by fiat. Plus, fiat is never going back to the box now that it's out. Not for as long as States exist.
Especially not when Bitcoin devs keep relegating anonymity and privacy, which would be the case for bitcoin use as a replacement of increasingly disappearing fiat cash.
Gold was the unit of account for barely 5 decades, in the 19-20th century. Silver or a dual silver-gold system in which silver was the most commonly circulating medium has historically been the commodity-based currency/unit of account world wide. There are good reasons for this, and they are the same that make BTC a terrible currency while being perfect money as a store of value and as property.
Eat a diet of whole foods like potatoes, bananas, rice, beans and nuts and then tell me again you can't get fat eating whole foods only...
Anyone using a P2P exchange right now must be careful with:
Current bitcoin network fees + market premium charged by sellers + small size of most offers
If you're trying to do small purchases à la DCA, that's a very expensive proposition right now. You will end up paying half the sats you are trying to buy.
So try to buy larger amounts, less frequently. And keep them on the P2P exchange wallet for as long as you can so when you move it to cold storage you get a larger UTXO (although you'll be paying more to move more UTXO's too...)

Yeah, agreed.
If you're a bitcoin single issue voter, your only options are whoever the runs for the Libertarian Party, or Kennedy Jr.
If you pick Trump, you're not prioritizing pro-Bitcoin legislation, and it's likely you enable anti-bitcoin measures. If you vote Democrat you're actively attacking Bitcoin.
I'm in my mid-40's. The ways we interacted with girls back when I was a teenager, which resulted in a never sufficient but satisfactory enough amount of sex, would get a boy today in all sorts of trouble. From school trouble all the way to legal trouble, potentially. Plus, they're being indoctrinated to think it's the right way to exist too. And let's not even touch upon what girls are being indoctrinated into.
That explains all the "GFY" I read here. They're just words of encouragement.
I believe nostr:npub1s277u5rww60te98w9umz6p7pjcxuus96cegdsf4y978qcqvu8jtq88dsym is working on a more nuanced WoT.
The other parts could include how often you reply to someone, how long you’ve been following them, whether you share their notes, if the interactions are both ways, overall activity level between two individuals.
I think the key is to look at interactions both ways because you can follow and influencer and respond to them every day without them ever saying anything back.
A personal label is probably good too as long as you’re the only one seeing it. You can get a better picture of whether your connections to people are improving or not simply by counting the labels.
Color indicators - something to let you know how you feel about someone.
Many of these could backfire if done wrong. Gotta be careful and think through.
Probably wrong hh though.
It's a non controversial statement. He is for State mandated redistribution of wealth via taxation and for "welfare". Thus, a socialist.
It was a bitcoin maxi saying it, so perhaps the was some projection/crypto derangement syndrome involved...
The current Nostr influenx00rs don't care. Virtue signaling is more important.
I've said it so many times already. I couldn't care less is they shut it down. I lived before social media and never needed it. And I deleted or stopped using all my accounts several years ago and lived happily all the same. Then Nostr came out and I decided to give it a go. When it goes to hell, I'll simply move on again.
I just saw a video snippet of the booing at Ohio University where it was implied that the students reacted like that because they'd rather choose altcoins and shitcoins.
Are you sure about that? I'd rather think they booed because of the climate hoax and bankster propaganda. In Europe bitcoin has a terrible rep in campuses because communists are against it.
Even though he's a socialist in the end, in these particular circumstances he'd get my vote, as a compromise option.
In their github they specify that they expect the snitch lists it fabricates to be used by relays too. Much less obvious than clients.
My issue with this is not just that it's censorship and that it causes ME to have to spend resources and time avoiding it by finding uncensored clients and relays. The long-ranging problem is that it turns relays and clients into editorializing platforms, which opens the door to regulation and prosecution. It's basically either Nostr becoming Facebook/Google, or being shut down and people running relays and writing apps getting sent to jail.
There are plenty of people on Twitter and YouTube that send you 2 BTC of you send them 1. He could try there!
