Hmm yeah probably because of a retirement fund, but also people who have spent years in the same industry know when the good times part of the year and bad times part of the year is and will save during good times part of the year to spend during the bad times part of the year.

Strategy doesn't work if you have to spend everything during the good time part of the year

Its a house of cards. If people stop borrowing due to interest rates, the housing market could crash (because the housing market is a debt based ponzi scheme)

Everyone who bought and buys Bitcoin on the basis of what blogs like shitcoin magazine and cointelegraph publish need to rethink how seriously they should take themselves.

I'd rather be a warrior in a walled garden than a gardener on the hellscape known as Twitter.

Or however that saying goes

Replying to Avatar Jameson Lopp

The 13th amendment states: "involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

We have an immense prison population.

We have lots of explicit slaves

Also, sorry I realize I answered "why is muun included" and not "What problems does muun have"

My first gripe with muun is that it calls itself a lightning wallet. Muun is not compatible with the features you expect out of lightning network wallets such as lnurl-auth so when someone complains about the lightning network and you find out its because they're using muun, that's very annoying.

The submarine swaps only work in a low fee environment. In a high fee environment, you had people complaining about the lightning network. When the complaints were about tx fees to open a channel we could recommend tx batching to save on fees, when the problem was that they're a muun user, our only advice was "stop"

Muun's recovery mechanism is not part of any known spec and of course that makes me suspicious about the claim that is even self-custodial. However, as I don't have evidence that muun is custodial, my grievance will instead lay on the fact that its backups are out of spec.

Don't forget payouts from Twitter or YouTube come from ads and subscriptions. Are you looking to build an influencer and advertiser market matching system?

I personally don't care. I personally would rather no influencers at all. Just normal people talking to other normal people.

You do what you want though. Just pointing out what would need to be done if you really wanted that.

And don't forget, if you lose all your money, its Bitcoin's fault!

Meanwhile YouTube is asking me to turn off adblock and I'm about to be SO productive as a result (probably engineering something that continues to block ads)

"8. Once the invoice is paid, the recipient's lnurl server MUST generate a zap receipt as described in Appendix E, and publish it to the relays specified in the zap request."

So instead its just

"8. Once the invoice is paid, the recipient's lightning node MUST generate a zap receipt as described in Appendix E, and publish it to the relays specified in the zap request."
