I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this. I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Don’t have anything super exciting on the list for today. Going to hit the local dairy, the local produce shop & the seed store. The seed store finally has in some AEA products for fruit trees that John Kempf said would be available last August, he called that one wrong, but glad they’re there now. Have a whole new plan for fruit trees based on his talk last year.

I know! Just need to get off my duff & make it so

It is, so sad to see this glorious snow go, but then again I can’t wait until new growth starts cuz I love that too

Morning Citizen, have an awesome day!

Morning Nostriches

It’s raining out. Snow is still in the ground, rain is falling on it, everything is melting. I am very sad to see it go. It’s been a stunningly beautiful winter this year, one like we haven’t had in a few & I am truly going to miss it all.

That said Spring is around the corner & I can’t wait to see new growth & get in the garden!

Got a vat of that going ourselves! Then today my husband ground up some hind legs from a sheep we butchered last year & we have more bones, such a good problem to have
