My thoughts: The premise is cute. The visual and conceptual references to GT are too close to be coincidence, which is cool.

BUT the character designs look like shit, tbh. They brought back an old character designer, but it looks nothing like his old work. It looks a lot like modern Toriyama Akira, but I don't like his modern art style, so that's not a good thing for me.

That's not to berate the animation, there's actually some good animation in the trailer, I just don't like the character designs.
