“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy- for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself - you will succumb in every battle.” Needed to look up in the internet , didn’t remember exact wording in English . I hope it will help you 😜 I always think - what happens when you know the enemy but not yourself ???? Why this scenario was not captured ?

What is the nature of a conflict ? Does he attack you on a personal level (character) or he doubts your professionalism/skills ? Anyway , if you totally can’t not work with him, minimize direct contacts tete-a-tete. Make all the communication traceable, only in writing, so it’s clear who is doing and is responsible for what exactly, what are the objectives and how you measure results. Let him know also that you are open for a feedback but in writing so you can analyse it. I don’t know the details , so this piece of advice is general af (also more suitable for corpo environment, if you work at the construction site - prob it’s just better to take him out for a drink and just ask directly WTF, dude ?:)) but in my experience ppl who make us feel “uncomfortable” point out to our weaknesses or mirror something that also exists in us. It doesn’t mean you should just accept the situation, but understanding what is your lesson here helps. Sometimes, if you really “got” the lesson, person or a source of a conflict disappears automatically :) take care 🫂

It’s a good thing that we all love different things : hot or cold climates, Europe or Asia, mountains or valleys ,beaches or pools, big cities or woods in the wilderness. Can you imagine if every human on earth had the same set of preferences and likings? That would be such a nightmare - everyone would want to have same things, eat same food, or live in the same country or continent etc. So boring and depressing and dangerous even :) So grateful for our differences and unique tastes.

I didn’t meet a lot of Iranians irl, maybe 5-6 ppl, but every Iranian I met was extremely intelligent, industrious , well-educated and highly motivated person. And beautiful as well :) Your culture, language, history are one of the oldest on Earth . Your land is rich in resources and vast. Tyrants and tyrannies will cease to exist, because tyranny is never a long-term equilibrium. but if all Iranians including those spread across the world will be able to preserve their amazing spirit, culture, traditions, the essence of who you are as a nation basically - Iran will live forever and will flourish like never before. Nation is the people, not its rulers, or even its land or country borders. Just never forget who you are and where you come from and be proud of your origins. Justice will be restored and Iranians will be rewarded.

You are my personal hero now 😀 I never went out without at least 3-5 things . That’s why I stopped going there at all😂 these stores are devil’s invention - even if you have everything you need , in these stores you always find something you never knew even existed and suddenly you NEED to own this thing, why? Bc it feels like discovery of a treasure, although it’s the opposite of a treasure 😁. Scary places🙃and all these items are slightly defective in one way or another. I always try to imagine factories were they are being produced and ppl who work there. Someone just decided - let’s set up a business for manufacturing crappy or just one-time use things on a massive scale. Insane and somehow hypnotizing idea .

> Beauty will save the world.

What is this? For a long time, it seemed to me simply a phrase. How could this be possible? When in the bloodthirsty process of history did beauty ever save anyone, and from what? Granted, it ennobled, it elevated—but whom did it ever save?

There is, however, a particular feature in the very essence of beauty—a characteristic trait of art itself: The persuasiveness of a true work of art is completely irrefutable; it prevails even over a resisting heart. A political speech, an aggressive piece of journalism, a program for the organization of society, a philosophical system, can all be constructed—with apparent smoothness and harmony—on an error or on a lie. What is hidden and what is distorted will not be discerned right away. But then a contrary speech, journalistic piece, or program, or a differently structured philosophy, comes forth to join the argument, and everything is again just as smooth and harmonious, and again everything fits. And so, they inspire trust—and distrust.

In vain does one repeat what the heart does not find sweet.

But a true work of art carries its verification within itself: Artificial and forced concepts do not survive their trial by images; both image and concept crumble and turn out feeble, pale, and unconvincing. However, works which have drawn on the truth and which have presented it to us in concentrated and vibrant form seize us, attract us to themselves powerfully, and no one ever—even centuries later—will step forth to deny them.

So perhaps the old trinity of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty is not simply the decorous and antiquated formula it seemed to us at the time of our self-confident materialistic youth. If the tops of these three trees do converge, as thinkers used to claim, and if the all too obvious and the overly straight sprouts of Truth and Goodness have been crushed, cut down, or not permitted to grow, then perhaps the whimsical, unpredictable, and ever surprising shoots of Beauty will force their way through and soar up to that very spot, thereby fulfilling the task of all three.

“Carries its verification within itself” - 👌

I’ve only had a chance to meet my paternal great grand- mother, I was 10-11 when she died, she was at 95-96. But I remember her character, and food she cooked for us when we visited and her apartment and how she smelled when I hugged her and how the apartment smelled. Now ppl and places don’t smell like that . But I heard a lot of stories about my paternal great grand-parents on both my grandmother and grandfather’s side. And a lot of stories even about their families, and I saw them on old photos so I consider that I know them and I feel that they are still members of my clan.

I really enjoyed this film i remember, very well done .

If we are doing everything right now, they wouldn’t care at all, if we are fighting for what we say we are fighting for - they will not be fixated on money that much as we are now. And I mean not only bitcoiners’ grandchildren but all grandchildren :)

Bc wine is not bad for you. Neither any other alcohol. If you drink it in moderation and not on a daily basis. But currently we have this very strange period of time when we tend to go into extreme modes with everything - all or nothing, black and white only. With alcohol - same thing. I think it’s a problem within us not with wine itself.

I don’t want to go into oppression aspect of his argument, bc I think he is slightly oversimplifying , but I totally agree on a point that everything that is produced by society in a given point of history, also in terms of esthetic value, is a representation of society’s spirit. Also he uses this term postmodern architecture - not good - bc it literally can mean everything and therefore means nothing specifically. Ppl usually use term postmodern when they don’t know how to precisely define an object of art produced after 1950’s . Intuitively I know what type of modern architecture he is referring to , but 20-21 centuries produced a lot of amazing arch objects -this is just an undeniable fact. But altogether he brings up an important topic. Ugliness or lack of exposure to beauty in every aspect of our everyday life is not just an unfortunate circumstance , it corrupts and brings down human spirit. Beauty (understanding of harmony and proportions in everything) should be a default feature not an accidental and optional side effect.

1st thought - The amount of work and skills this masterpiece required is mind blowing. Purely manual work. And they didn’t have any laser engravers or any type of automation back then. It’s joyous just to look at it and know that we ppl can create such things. But to wear it - it prob weights not less than 20kg, maybe more. To be able to wear and fight in these things one had to be in a very good shape. 2d thought - Ferdinand was a very slim man 😻😀 ppl back then were much smaller in terms of body size than we are currently , I’ve read about it but only realized few years ago at 18-19cc fashion exhibition. Thanks for this note and for all others too - they always visually stimulate me in a right way and make me happy.

Never thought i would envy Muslim ladies who can walk around with their bodies and faces covered everywhere :) even in China I think 🤔Obv they can still collect data about the movements between countries , but not in the country. Ok , still possible for them to do that but more difficult to prove anything…but tbh most of the ppl don’t consider this increasing level of gov surveillance a problem, for the last 10 years I keep listening to the stupidest argument ever - “why do you care if you don’t have anything to hide?”. And I always want to respond - “why do they need to know that much about me if they don’t plan any harm?” My family used to give me more space and privacy when I was a child than these totally unrelated to me fuckers when I am an adult.
