'8 rack' , a seed generator offline and open source, fair distributed entropy based and with a protection against side channel attacks.

The 'Say Le Clock'... Hear a waterdrop every new block, hear a quote ever 3 blocks, set background music if you like.

Cool.

Also possible bug: when redtoreing from deed phrase from an older keychat version, the words are not always recognized.

Word 7 in my case 'orchard' was not recognized, while it's part of the seed.

(Compatibility issue?)

Does anyone have a tip for an easy to use, minimals style addon for chrome and/or firefox in order to zap people from a lighting wallet in combination with primal net?

(Not Alby, I get the creeps from their UX and way of working).

Any WM41 watchers still awake here? 😉

Introducing "8rack": User-friendly seed generation with three 96-card decks.

8rack is a unique tool for generating secure, human-readable results from entropy, using a custom deck with 8 suits and 12 ranks, ensuring a fair random selection of BIP-39 seed words (432 possibilities) plus checksum.

Unlike other card-pick tools, it uses three shuffled 96-card decks for equal word selection probability. Open-source, fast, and secure, it works online and offline with fair result distribution.

Have you tried Alby Hub https://albyhub.com/? It integrates perfectly with Nostr apps across mobile and web.

Tried both the alby addon and this alby hub, but I can't even get the login to work properly, as the confirmation works through email and I never receive the email message with a login code.

Even when creating a new account or logging in through lighting, I get this after the initial login.

"Due to security and usability updates on our platform please use your email to login."

When creating a brand new account (I think I've made like 10 by now), the captcha stuff is so cumbersome that I just gave up after 5 mins.

The onboarding is "not ideal".

They say bitcoin has no yield.

...

You're looking at it.

Local meetups should have this unwritten rule that anyone showing up there should be on Yzer.io and have leve3 or up.

So you know they at least have knowledge of the very basics and have spent some time on education.

Everyone who talks about long time preference but doesn't even get to spend an hour getting the basics can actually pack and go imho.

(of course, that won't solve all problems, but it will surely be some small form of hurdle for the absolute bottom feeders that only show up to promote their unrelated business, snoop some votes for a local political party or get some info out of people for whatever reason and then disappear. (or don't know anything about bitcoin but crave attention)

it's not a slot machine 😉 - I'm coding a slot machine for fun, but that's free,...

the service would almost never reach 10 uses for one person, and the "tipjar" would just pop up now and then.

thx for the input

If a club with nice things inside has no bouncer, and no internal 'eyes', you'll get problems.

If Bitcoin communities don't have any form of vetting, you'll be internally corrupted.

Let's start by having local meetups have a 'linimal' sort if vetting.

Havibg the Yzer.io app at level 3 at minimum should be a good start

And maybe, having people who claim to be 'years in bitcoin' deliver some form of proof that they're not just BS'ing to het attention.

Just some ideas I already floated around from a while back ,when I critizised some meetups with 'grifter' types.

I still haven't found a good integrated wallet thing to zap people with.

None of them work smooth and in combination with my other loaded apps.

Has alby made any progress lately that people know off?

If a free service I put online would randomly ask for a 2000 sats invoice to be paid at intervals (every 10 uses or so), would you be annoyed as hell or would you now and then pay that tipjar?

Riddle me this:

40+ billion dollars in bitcoin in a few big hands

40+ companies and initiatives all scraping to get a few people paid to make cool stuff to help the community and let bitcoin thrive.
