The #Bitcoin miners are beginning to capitulate; the effects of new supply getting cut in half are starting to be realized.

Less efficient #BTC miners are exiting stage left. I believe energy-efficient and waste heat miners will be a more and more dominant portion of hashrate.

My fears of a centralized authority controlling too much hashrate is soothed by the knowledge that mining #Bitcoin will only get less profitable in terms of #BTC and that miners who are not primarily focused on #Bitcoin mining profitability, rather mitigating wasted energy or generating heat, will be more so equipped to go the distance than miners who are primarily focused on playing fiat games.

#Bitcoin is currently the freest market, its adapt or die, always has been always will be.

I showed a developer friend what I've been working on. He's not on nostr, doesn't care for bitcoin, calls everything "crypto", you get the idea... Also showed him the app ecosystem.

He glanced at it for a mere 30 seconds and discarded as a developer project that solves nothing.

I'm just sharing so you have an idea of how some people might be feeling when they see this space. Just a dev. project.

Zero proof of work went into that evaluation. Not a single thought about why a bunch of people might be interested in building this out. Just a crypto thing...

This is why I left that world and he's one of the few remaining people I keep in touch with. Perhaps not for long 🤣 It's good to get an outside perspective once in a while so there's some value in it I suppose.

- Open LN channel

Nostr coordinated coinjoin already exists: joinstr.xyz

BTW electrum has a feature to open LN channel with the change so toxic change could be used to open LN channels when doing coinjoin

ya, as of right now you need to run a core lightning node. i believe people are working on receiving options for LND nodes but nothing functional as far as i know.
