I‘m thinking about using nostr:npub1kmwdmhuxvafg05dyap3qmy42jpwztrv9p0uvey3a8803ahlwtmnsnhxqk9 for a new product that I plan to launch. My biggest issue will be shipping 👀 I guess I’ll only start with Europe first 🤔🤔 it will be inexpensive around 35-40€ 🤫🤫

Paying for nostr is great and noble and all but at this scale it doesn’t make any economic sense. You’d need people to pay massive amounts every month to see any noticeable revenue and that’s asking too much I think. I’m willing to bet nostr users that already pay for various things are spending much more money than any person would on similar tools in legacy world.

Not saying it’s not a good idea to keep doing that, but be mindful when asking people to pay when they are already likely going over the top. Either wait for scale or make something worth that additional asking fee.

Watching Peter Thiel on JRE: seems like he's just so rich and has so much time on his hands that he spends most of it reading weird shit about pyramids and human ancestors taking magic mushrooms.

Actually makes you wonder about the propensity for billionaires to go down a Bitcoin rabbit hole, or be plebs on nostr. I mean, what else are they doing? Can't spend 100% of your time preparing for board meetings or going to charity balls - and if you were that rich, why would you?

Maybe he just talked a lot about that stuff at uni. Billionaires need to have their capital somewhere that either increases in purchasing power or earns a yield. If they really did nothing their money would melt away.

This is not an argument. It is “Whataboutism” and I suggest you do not do this, because you don’t look smart.

As for the second part, this is not about the WAIT AND SEE HODL mentality. This is about pushing Bitcoin aggressively, and not be a passive monkey sitting in the pouring rain instead of running to take shelter. It’s about actively attacking the problem, not retreating into the Bitcoin Cult, or the stomach churning, “If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.”

In all seriousness though, this is potentially highly significant. Elon will have seen in his travels in San Salvador, that even McDonald's accepts Bitcoin as payment, including the hotel he was staying at.

Seeing Bitcoin everywhere as a method of payment will not have gone unnoticed (surely) by Elon. He will have been induced to install Wallet of Satoshi, and then paid for a Coca-Cola with Bitcoin with Wallet of Satoshi, instantly.

And no one will have batted an eyelid.

Once you experience this yourself, Bitcoin being used as money for everyday spending and treated as totally normal, you can never un-see it.

Elon's mind would have been reeling at the potential to integrate Bitcoin into any economy, and the tools that will need to be built to make it happen. Tools built by his private army of mad software scientists.

Finally he must, surely, be disabused of his completely wrong ideas about Bitcoin.

If this is the case, the post Bukele Elon will be a much better Elon.

He will stop joking about Bitcoin, and start acting like an adult about the most fundamental problem faced by man today: THE MONEY PROBLEM.
