At the end of the day, the people at these companies are deciding to choose people they know vs those they don’t. That’s their prerogative and probably makes sense to hire people knowing that they are of good character. Scare capital is, well, scarce. You want to allocate it well, and knowing the person you are hiring is a very good hedge against misallocation. I personally think they are doing themselves a disservice by passing people they don’t know over, and are concurrently creating this ā€œBitcoin jobsā€ concept that really only applies to insiders. I personally would love to hear feedback and responses to my application, but the employers don’t owe that to anyone. Just my personal complaints about the process.

Yes, I’m effectively willing to donate a portion of my time to them. I still can’t even get an email back about why they went another way, what they were really looking for, or anything. This is my gripe. Any line of communication would be great. If the answer is that my resume does not suit the industry and I should just stack sats with my fiat job, that’s fine too. I’d just like to hear something. Again, it’s all back to who you know. Let’s just call it what it is as opposed to LARPing about trying to bring in ā€œamazing outside talentā€.

Haha. I see job openings pop up at some of places knowing they have my resume on file and just laugh. I wonder how many qualified people that previously applied they just pass up and then post a job.

I don’t really care. I’ll work a few more years for fiat and hang it up. My point was that these companies are missing out on hiring very competent people and do a terrible job of handling the application process. The idea that these companies are trying to pull talent into Bitcoin is laughable. It’s just an inner circle hiring process.

Bitcoinerjobs.co, btctalentco, open applications, etc are the biggest scam of all time. It’s same as fiat land; all who you know. I’ve applied to over 30 Bitcoin jobs, most of which would entail a 50% pay cut, and I don’t even get an email back. I get asked to tell my Bitcoin story; I’m applying for a job at your company where I’ll be losing half my salary. That’s my story. I do cash management and financial planning for a living, and zero response from any company. I have no idea how the hiring industry works in Bitcoin land, but I promise you it needs improvement.

I cannot get over how mind blowing nostr:npub15dqlghlewk84wz3pkqqvzl2w2w36f97g89ljds8x6c094nlu02vqjllm5m ā€˜s concept of Bitcoin being the digital version of going west in America in the 1800s is. That’s it. We are gonna opt out of our govt digitally, and they will be done. No one is bullish enough.

It’s perfect. I think the mini is ironically too big. Comedy bit from the 80s warranted for sure.

Really had to mooooove
