> “integrated surveillance feature”
I’m talking about the part where they willingly sent your data to Chainalysis so that the spooks could surveil you. But I think you know that 🤷♂️
There was not built-in chainanalysis feature because given that the wasabi coordinator knows nothing about the participants' coins then it could analysis nothing. It is because it knew nothing that had to hire the service of a chainanalysis company to ask whether a registered coin was ok or not to enter in a round.
Anyway, I suspect that free coordinators makes no money and that means they cannot pay to a chainanalysis company.
In #WasabiWallet v3 we removed all what was used to query the chainanalysis api. Here is the PR: https://github.com/WalletWasabi/WalletWasabi/pull/12970
This doesn't mean that coordinators' operators cannot implement their own banning sustem, this only means that the Wasabi coordinator won't have that feature.
I’m not sure if you’re trying to point out a niche “gotcha”, or if I fundamentally don’t understand how the old model worked…
My understanding is the original model did not allow users to choose coordinators, it only allowed the main WasabiWallet team’s coordinator. And that coordinator in particular had an integrated user surveillance “feature” via Chainalysis.
In the new model, users are now able to choose their own coordinators which (hopefully) are not cucked with integrated spyware/over-compliance.
Did I misunderstood?

North America's Highest Elevation Natural Pinot Noir is BACK. 🌟
After a devastating freeze wiped out our 2021 crop, these resilient vines surged back to yield the finest wine in Peony Lane’s 20-year history. 🍇🍷
From frost to fruition, experience the revival. 👇
Farming in the Highest Elevation Wine Region in North America is RISKY.
At 5680 ft, snow-capped peaks surround us, sending cold air rushing into our valley.
Normally, this limits pests and creates vibrant wines, but in 2021, disaster struck. ❄️
In just 12 hours, the temperature plummeted 60°F.
14°F is usually manageable, but as the first freeze of the year, the vines had no chance to harden for winter.
Colorado growers lost 80% of their grape crop in 2021. My family lost 100%. 💔
A year without fruit production charged the vines with pent-up energy.
This rare phenomenon is what makes my 2022 Vintage so special.
That energy is concentrated into the grapes, resulting in two years of vitality bottled into one extraordinary wine. 🍷
Due to the vines' intense recovery process, our 2022 Vintage is exceptionally limited.
This unique vintage is a rare opportunity.

Love the new label 🤙
Since you’re now using a 3rd party coordinator, does this remove the built in Chainalysis “feature”?

I learned a new word today at #NostrVillage.
The “Jackening.”
It’s not what you think. It’s when nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m told the world about #Nostr.
What if that is what I thought 😂
“Who will run the nodes?”
This is all true and can be argued and won in US courts when necessary.
But the exchange of Bitcoin for other things of value, outside of any regulatory framework, is not protected by law. They will fight us the usage of Bitcoin as money, not on the nature of its code or network.
Cool! Might try to give it a shot for a couple tools I use for work
Interesting. Does code written for Docker just run here, or does it require major changes?
Done this as in… posted hateful generalizations about broad groups of people? 😂
Or… meaning you used to see more of that than you do currently? I’ve been on Nostr since pretty early on, and haven’t much of it until recently.
