What I mean by this is literally dark mode is harder to use than not using it.
My theory is this: darkmode - diffrenciating differences between things, letters, etc - instead of seeing the letters on the white screen, you have to hunt through a sea of black to find them, and every time you do, your eyes are surrounded by black, which makes it harder for the eyes to adjust to actual read the white.
what happens to me anyway, is I'm overwhelmed visually, feel like i'm getting very angry (and i'm extremely calm, even keeled and peaceful,) and then I find the switch to normal colors and can use the thing again.
its working now. it's still browser based, which I loathe, but at least its working and is less ugly than iris. although dm's here look terrible, and im going to check now to see if that looks any better.
new design instead of rounded boxes, they're all 1px padded now and have a thin 1px outline around them, square instead. looks a bit less weird, but still hard to deal with :)
maybe this is why they decided to start eating them.

unless i hit refresh, then it shows the last few minutes of stuff. nothing more.
if i hit global, then notifications, then my profile then feeds then following sometimes it works a little bit.
