Seems like an apples to oranges comparison, but okay. Discounts the fact that 95% of lightning use is custodial... But okay

Lol and then has a static Bitcoin donation address in profile... Yeah you're an untraceable super hacker. Nice try. Try using a paynym or monero address if you want to receive donations

There are definitely dumb ways to use monero. But can be mitigated. Hard to argue that layer one Bitcoin is more private than monero though...
Why do people hate on monero so much? Because it goes down in value compared to Bitcoin? News flash, price isn't everything.
If you're gonna complain, complain about lightning. Unless you're using a custodial solution, lightning has a lot of friction as a payment layer. Especially for receivers...
So much cope.
Disclaimer, I use both. But definitely prefer monero over lightning for spending. Onchain transactions are just less finicky

Pretty sure this is either out of date or soon to be.
Plus not very nuanced to compare monero and lightning. Lightning is a notoriously heavy lift to do self custodially. Lots of errors and headaches. Monero just works

A privacy guide series we recently wrapped up details the steps for self-auditing your VPN.
It's a fairly technical series, but if you rely on a commercial VPN for privacy - no matter the provider - we recommend taking the time to work through these steps. That will help you verify that your VPN connection is working as intended, there are no leaks, and that your provider implemented important features like firewall and forward secrecy properly.
In part one, we cover the initial setup, including installing WireShark for packet capture and analysis. You'll also learn to gather necessary details on your VPN's server, protocol, and port: https://www.ivpn.net/privacy-guides/self-audit-series-part1/
In part two, we show how to verify the details of a WireGuard VPN connection, including checking for leaks. This guide includes verification of v2Ray obfuscation and post-quantum resistant encryption: https://www.ivpn.net/privacy-guides/self-audit-series-part2/
Part three we do the same for OpenVPN and also discuss checking firewall effectiveness and perfect forward secrecy implementation: https://www.ivpn.net/privacy-guides/self-audit-series-part3/
Have you gone through these guides and have feedback or questions? You know what to do.
Glad you're on Nostr! What about for someone residing in China? Would you say these guides still hold true? Haven't read yet in case your answer is, "oh China is a special case, you'd need xyz solution instead"

Update on announcement.
I am finally mining (or "hashing", but I digress).
My miners are connected, just waiting for curtailment to end.

Did I miss something? Why is everyone talking about Satoshi?
On the plus side, it's #Autumn so I can wear my #plebminer hoodie for the first time nostr:nprofile1qqsfvzdsjdzsm4lq47ecjcv6ekhju6sddqtujd2j7wg3upd4ptnnu0gppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0af7ehj Time for #basketball
