It seems there’s something called Snaps that lets you add a real Bitcoin plugin (not the wrapped fake), but I agree that the easiest option is to just install a Lightning app. https://snaps.metamask.io/snap/npm/btcsnap/
I like to think of Bitcoin mining as simply finding a four-leaf clover in a field. Adjusting the difficulty is just changing the size of the field. The algorithm itself isn’t complex; it’s just expensive.
Maybe bumping up our minimum zap amount is a better way to get and keep new users than any classic retention strategy. This isn't an ad-based network for making money, and we might just be stuck in the old ways.
Time for me to say goodbye to the default 42 sats and hello to 210 sats. It would be cool to see a movement towards increasing the zap value and see what it brings.
Plus, a calculator that suggests zap amounts based on the rate of zaps per month and maximum accepted total sats per month would be awesome.
Good morning, Nostr!

If you want to have your Nostr posts bridged to Bluesky you can do it now by following: bsky.brid.gy_at_bsky.brid.gy@mostr.pub
This works by going via https://fed.brid.gy/ which goes takes the fediverse bridged version of your Nostr account from mostr.pub and then creates a parallel account on Bluesky for you. Anything you post on Nostr will show up on Bluesky. I’m not sure if all the replies go back or just the folks who’ve opted in to bridging from Bluesky back to the fediverse.
And if you want to bridge to Twitter you can do that too at connect.nos.social
That nip 05 is pretty ugly, I aliased to blueskybridge@nos.social pointing to the same npub

Nada como una buena luz Huberman y un mate para enpezar el día

Beautiful phrase from Aáron Sepúlveda-Cué:
"Money is the most tradeable good, not the most valuable good.
Money is a social institution we developed to cooperate with strangers. Family & friendship are the social institutions we developed to cooperate with those we love.”

Nature is decentralised. Conway's law shouldn't be just for software, it would explain many things on why so many ideas shaped as nature work better (Internet, Bitcoin, Austrian economics)
I've updated https://undocumented.nostrkinds.info with a JSON endpoint and NIP-89 info where available. 🔍

Rust is awesome but the learning curve is to steep for beginners and it may be frustrating. I'd go with Python for that.
