nostr:npub1spdnfacgsd7lk0nlqkq443tkq4jx9z6c6ksvaquuewmw7d3qltpslcq6j7 if youβre onboarding someone onto Nostr, do you have a preferred getting started guide of some sort?
Would love any links I could share! If not Iβll make one.
Didnβt find a really good guide/channel yet if the person is not technical so now i say βgo install nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg on app storeβ
Sent my first #NIP-34 patch to update the Readme.md in https://github.com/fiatjaf/gitstr and faced some challenges along the way. Despite that, i learned a lot a long the way.
Still confused on where/how to best set the list of relays?
The `naddr` #NIP-19 in the gitstr repo is telling me to send patches to wss://nostr.fmt.wiz.biz but that failed. After adding the primal relay it took my PATCH.
Is there any way to set a list of relays to send patches to?

Havenβt had any social media/messaging app on my phone for over 2 years
Since 3 months i have made an exception for nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg and i feel great about it!
I thought everyone had figured that out by now that disabling all notifications (desktop/laptop/phone/watch) is like the abc in productivity
Fuck me π Where i wrote Bun i meant to say Deno. You are using Bun in the test suite.
Tnx for clarifying. Your name came up in the commit because you last touched these files.
I learn the most by reading and playing with code. So after reading NIP01 i wanted to play with the tests nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 wrote in the nostr-tools (TS) repo.
Ported some tests to Bun (v2) and saw a 2x speed in signing/verifying events (obviously all related to runtime improvements) (screenshot below)
No plans to continue writing these tests. What's the point of optimising a test suite that takes 7 seconds to run 280 tests outside of `deno fmt` (which is awesome). But i do wonder if the current relay implementations in Typescript (nostream, nostr-relay-nestjs) will have to deal with performance as Nostr gets more popular.

Wishlist for nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg in 2025:
1. Post drafts savable on local device.
2. Native gif search during post creation creation.
3. Comment auto fetch when scrolling below the fold.
4. Treat tickers, like $MSTR, like hashtags.
5. Create Legends page listing all Legendary profiles, accessible when tapping on the legends badge.
6. Fix keyboard stutter with #GrapheneOS keyboard.
7. Fix failed posts when using the built in privacy proxy.
8. Strip photo metadata automatically before uploading.
9. Treasury in #Bitcoin then display proof of reserves somewhere in the app for all to see.
8. is such a nice privacy feature π―. I've been holding back sharing pictures on social media just because I'm not sure which meta data (from phone) is being shared.
Who manages nostr.com? I want to file a PR to fix some typo's and broken links
It's time. 100k BTC today?

nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg not sure if this is a feature or a bug but i was told my avatar is a 12 megapixel image.
Just swapped it to a lighter image, but you might want to check/validate/resize avatars to save you some bandwidth?
Linear (project management) So well made.
I would say stick with Raycast if you can. Don't install apps to do stuff Raycast can do (emoji picker, system monitor, clipboard manager, window manager).
I suggest you to look into hyperkey. It's a concept that changed my mac usage (everything is mapped to hyper key).
There is an app https://hyperkey.app/
mweh. Raycast + Cleanshot. Use it 100s times per day and IMHO it's better than Shottr
What are you talking about military coming after them?
They destroy themselves all by themselves. No help needed
Time to provide some proof of ownership though
Omg! And now there is a 900k counter. Canβt wait to check reddit tomorrow ;)

New Primal app (using IOS) is awesome. But still looking for a great IOS/silicon client. Tried damus (but crashes), primal web but want a native app and Nostur but don't like the UI.
Any tips? #asknostr #clients
Not sure what we're calling for here? Regulation? Censorship?
We gave Marques this much power/reach by giving the keys of the algorithm to big-tech.

Donβt think we need it. Good name though π
