Mulling over this thought: American ag has become fixated on the idea of "feeding the world" but has neglected to feed its own communities. If we had instead focused on feeding our communities, our people, livestock, soils and waterways would be healthier and the world would still be fed, because other communities would also focus on feeding themselves.
