Any history book recommendations?
I just finished Powers & Thrones, which was about the Middle Ages. I like the old stuff

It’s tough outchea indeed
Daggum Zoe, you’re a wild nostrich indeed
Nice, I’m going to give them a try tomorrow.
Sounds like you had an awesome gramma. All grammas here now are terrified of every mushroom in the wild
Yeah I’ve heard it’s the only species that’s safe raw.
I did try them but felt like I was eating an actual ear.
That sucks and yes I’m aware of all the poisonous species in my neck of the woods
Just don’t eat them raw! Apparently portobellos specifically are carcinogenic when eaten raw. They have a triple bond or some weird property if I’m remembering correctly
Crazy talk, mushrooms are a whole kingdom of beings
Anyone ever tried agaricus campestris? First time finding these, gonna start some research on them in a minute

I did some scything today too
No taste really. The texture is nice to me, some people hate them.
We mainly use them for broths for nutrients since we get so many. I put them in soups a lot too
It’s a staple for us. And yeah I wouldn’t be able to find mushrooms without that scythe
Another epic flush of wood ears off the same log I harvested from a few days ago
