indeed. I never saved a penny till I saved in bitcoin. Longterm holding of money seemed stupid to me before, because the longer you held it the less it bought, so I always spent fiat like the proverbial drunken sailor. Now I buy bitcoin like the proverbial drunken sailor.

the only real tip is, wait for them to be curious enough that they get that look in their eye. Before that, if it’s YOU just trying to explain it to them unsolicited, they always feel like you’re just trying to get them into your religion and they get the ookies, just like you would if they were trying to pull you into CrossFit or something. Wait for their curiosity to overcome this feeling inside themselves before you fret about explaining. It’ll be so much easier then anyway. Other than waiting, if you must try to explain, start with the history of money around the globe and how hard money differs from inflatable fiat. Explain how gold was used for money for so long, and how folks would scrape a tiny bit off each gold coin (bitcoin fixes this) and keep it while spending the shaved coin at full price. Most people have no concept of what fiat is, or how it has been abused, manipulated and used as a weapon and tool of thievery! And that damn hotdog at Costco staying at $1.50 forever is not helping me explain inflation to people, either. Good luck

How do I zap specifically a note, and not just generally the user? I tried to zap a note and my sats went somewhere, but I don’t see myself in the list of those who zapped the note. I also see no history of zaps in settings giving any clues. I clicked on the user, then zapped from that screen, but it looks like it didn’t attach to the note. Any help is appreciated #asknostr

you could do everything except: generate seeds from pixels from camera input (used for entropy), scan a request for signing a transaction (actually send money), scan a qr with preloaded settings, etc. it would be useless as a functional hardware wallet, but you could still use it for a couple built-in functions outside of transacting with bitcoin, like generating seeds from dicecrolls. Love the seedsigner!
