I think though the question is how many. Like if bitcoin is 100%, so every transaction is literally one person wanting something, and transfering voluntarily, that changes everything. How much do people really want police, rubbish collection. Every modern convenience provided by even basic govts today

I seriously think everyone who tweets on twitter will eventually move to Nostr when they realise they are literally transferring wealth from elon musk to themselves

Govt in it’s current form would never do that. Need collapse of current govt first. Then maybe tax miners a bit to rebuild new rulemaker/ enforcer?

I actually don’t recommend folks go without a phone. Phones are increasingly important parts of protests. Telling the story is important.

But don’t take your primary phone, get a burner phone, use a new pre-paid number. Ideally leave it at a place which isn’t your home but if you do take it home, turn it off. And make sure there’s disappearing messages turned on for everything.

Phones are a massive point of centralised risk. Can foresee this becoming a go-to attack vector for govts soon
