Many things run their course and have their end. The finality of a moment is what makes the moment so precious. You can’t ever get it back. Part of the journey is knowing when to close big and small chapters alike. When to say no. I’m working on that.

15 years later I'm now traveling the world with my wife because we chose to live life our way, doing what we love. The amount of wonderful people we met along the way we got to share so many wonderful memories with is such an incredible gift that we wouldn't miss for the world.

I’ve been back on the beautiful island of Tenerife in the Canaries for the past week. I spent the two prior years living here. Literally everywhere I go here, there are memories. I’m not sure why but today the memories are extremely vivid, almost as if I had lived them today while I was remembering them. Most memories that I have are tied to people. Whether it’s the ocean water, the city, a restaurant, or an amazing view-it’s bringing back memories of the people I spent my time with. The more I live the more I understand how important people are in my life. I’m beyond grateful for this experience of life and the opportunity I have to share it with good people. Life is short, make the people in your life the priority.
