Originally I felt like this was an intelligent debate that sharpened my arguments and where I learned more about your beliefs. At this point it seems like I'm just getting sesquipedalian nonsense. I'm bored.
Entropy isn't just about energy. It actually is about order and yes, progression to chaos. Just because the sun supplies energy does not mean you get order. If you add energy to ice you get less and less order as the water melts and then evaporates. The two are not equivalent.
In my previous post I listed lots of scientific evidence and arguments. You never addressed even one. You only bad mouthed my one mention of God instead of actually addressing the facts I gave.
It looks like you hear God and automatically ignore all of the other logical and factual arguments. Sadly you won't look at evidence that suggests God.
For what it is worth, I appreciate your questions and comments. They help strengthen my own beliefs by having me defend them logically and really think them through completely and not just in a superficial manner.
The universe is.
I think it is illogical to think that the Earth is producing all of this increase in order (as you previously implied must happen). Do you believe that somewhere else in the universe everything is becoming disorderly at a higher rate to make up for all of the order being created on Earth? That doesn't seem logically consistent to me.
I would define intelligence as the ability to sense the environment and make conscious decisions to change in response to that environment based on prior knowledge, experience, and logic. This would not include instinct. All intelligence starts with God, who always had the ultimate form of intelligence since he is all knowing. He has created a much lesser form of intelligence in animals, but only humans have true intelligence, where all of the decisions are fully conscious.
In evolution there is not intelligence (particularly intelligence controlling the evolution). Random changes happen by accident that predispose particular individuals to a better survival rate and those changes are passed down to future generations supposedly giving the next generation a higher chance of surviving. Because there is no intelligence leading the mutation or the survival, irreducibly complex systems cannot be slowly mutated into existence. They would have to appear fully formed. A partial mutation would not give enough benefit (most of the time zero benefit or negative benefit) to be a survival benefit especially a significant enough benefit to overcome the normally harmful effects of the overwhelming majority of mutations. Since >99% of mutations are harmful, only majorly beneficial mutations can realistically be selected for. There are basically zero known mutations that fit this category, especially if you limit it to mutations that produce new information. There are examples given of beneficial mutations, but every example, I know of, is a case of a loss of information that gives a creature a benefit in a narrowly defined environment, but reduces their ability to survive in diverse environments.
Get involved in groups who have similar values as you, whether it is gardening, btc, liberty, church, etc. Being around people with similar priorities is your best bet. Although I am a huge fan of marriage, don't rush it. Getting attached to the wrong person can be worse than being alone.
Your response is unclear to me so I am not sure what you are trying to communicate. I will ask, "Where do you think intelligence comes from?"
Another article that touches on the research, but goes into how a different theory and model of life has led to new experiments and new knowledge that is likely to change the way we look at biology.
It is like how nobody in paleontology looked for soft tissues because they assumed they weren't there because of the assumed age. Once one person, Mary Schweitzer, found soft tissue, now people are looking for it and finding it frequently bringing into question the assumed ages of these fossils.
Experiments on Mexican Tetra which have surface fish and cave fish subtypes, that are assumed by Evolutionists to have evolved to their differences, are being shown to quickly undergo changes to adapt to the opposite subtype. This means they are designed to change through internal control mechanisms, not through random mutations that couldn't possibly happen this fast. Some of the changes happen in the lifetime of a particular fish that switches environment. Some changes happen in the offspring. This would be expected if these fish were designed by and all power and all knowing, loving God. They are totally unexpected if you believe in evolution.

Did you know that we are finding soft tissue (including proteins, collagen, and even recognizable cells & blood vessels) in fossils that are supposed to be millions or even tens of millions of years old, and yet testing strongly suggests that these tissues can't last more than thousands of years in the most optimal conditions (which don't exists outside of labs). This evidence strongly suggests these tissues are not nearly as old as we are told they are, which in turn suggests that there is not enough time for Darwinian Evolution to be a viable theory.

Except one of the best proven laws of science, the 2nd law of thermodynamics, states that all things go from order to disorder, but if evolution is true, then all things are going from disorder to greater order. This has NEVER been observed. It is unscientific and not based on evidence.
To add to this, one of the best proven laws in all of science is the 2nd law of thermodynamics which states that entropy always increases in a closed system. In other words things go from order to disorder, but evolution is disorder going to greater order. It is contrary to science. It only happens when an intelligence acts on the disorder to order it. In the case of a car or house, it is people creating the order. In the case of life, it is God creating the order. There are zero cases witnessed of information being added to a life form for benefit. The few mutations that have been seen that give a benefit are due to loss of information that gives that lifeform a benefit in one particular environment (usually a lab) but makes it less fit in the general environment of the whole world. Evolution is based on a desire to disprove a need for God and is based on stories. Even the idea of natural selection is just replacing God with nature. Nature can't select anything and definitely can't select a trait that will eventually lead to a benefit when combined with other future mutation. Yes, a few mutations give a benefit, but they are losses of information, not gains of information. Information (including the information in DNA) only comes from an intelligent mind.
With some handwaving arguments and millions of years, evolutionists can make evolution seem plausible, but when looked at in detail, it makes less sense. Evolutionists have also pretty much given up on showing how nonlife can become life because all attempts have failed so miserably. If they can't show that life can come from non-life then the whole theory falls apart completely.
If man is a chemical accident that happens by physical laws, why do you trust your observations? They could just be random chemical reactions. Why do you trust your logic? Isn't it just random reactions? Why do you even trust the laws of logic. If everything is true simply by way of physical processes, why would you believe in logic which is of the mind?
Why does every culture believe murder is wrong if evolution is just survival of the fittest? Wouldn't killing off the weak be good if Darwinian Evolution is true?
In response to your last point about a universe popping into existence, if you know physics well, that is impossible. Everything has a cause. God is the first cause. He works because He is outside time and space and isn't limited by the physical law.
There are so many things in life that are irreducibly complex, that it is incomprehensible that these things could "evolve" even once. Many of them are said to have "evolved" independently multiple times. One irreducibly complex system that makes zero logical sense that it could evolve on its own is sexual reproduction. Unrelated organisms can't reproduce together. You would have to have a male something (particular species/genera/family) evolve a whole male reproductive system in the same location and at the same time as a female of the same species/genera/family evolve a whole female reproductive system through random mutations. If you have studied the complexity of those systems, there is zero chance of that happening. It is illogical.
2 Peter 3:3-6
3Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” 5For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, 6through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men."
2,000 years ago uniformitarianism was prophesied and refuted.
Those are some amazing Fall colors. We aren't at peak color yet. I love Fall, but our Falls tend to be super short. It is not uncommon to have highs in the 90s and 2 weeks later have a freeze. We have already had a freeze at my house in the river valley.
Nice seeing a wombat in the wild.
When I visited Australia for work (and took a few extra days for sight-seeing while I was there), I got to see a wallaby in the wild. It was pretty cool for an American. I also went to the Healesville (sp?) Sanctuary to look at all the unique Australian animals. It was lots of fun. I did make the mistake of walking through the flying fox exhibit at the end of day (dusk) when they were starting to wake up and move around which was a little disconcerting.
Most days we've still had highs in the 80s, although a cold front just rolled in so today is only supposed to get to the low 70s and tomorrow's high is predicted to be 58 F. We're having large (45-50 degree) swings every day between the highs and lows. It makes it hard to dress for the day.
