There is no way to force a man to be free. Freedom always comes from within.

Jako zni rto blbě, ale efektivně to tak je. Ty nemáš jak ovlivnit co si který relay uchová a případně rozešle dále. Můžeš max poprosit. jedtli by to nemohly smazat.

Multiple classes of coins is in my view definitely scary. I'd love to be as optimistic, but I cannot in good conscience. If a government can devalue your coins and/or make them less useable by their decrees, you are at their mercy. That is exactly what btc is supposed to prevent.

That's the problem of creeping centralization. Right now, we can see giant server farms and data stores. There is a definite, relatively small number of them, that can be coerced if needed. I expect something similar to happen to miners too. I don't think any government would purchase their own hw and secretly do a 51% attack. The vector of attack here is regulation of already operating miners.

Něco podobného dnes můžeme vidět třeba v datacentrech a server farmách. Máš obrovský výpočetní výkon koncentrovaný do rukou malého množství hráčů.

A case in point to illustrate what I am saying. In the screenshot you can see (hopefully) the same notification in Plebstr and in Amethyst.

In Plebstr it just tells who did what where, which is exactly what I want to know and it did it on I'd guess ca 6rem vertically?

In Amethyst I don't even know what the notification is about until I scroll down, because the notification takes a screen and a half. It shows me a lot of what I don't need to know and I have to try quite hard to find what it is actually trying to convey to me, because there is too much going on at once and I cant quickly figure out what is the important part of that notification.

It's incredibly cluttered. It's trying to show me everything everywhere at once.

Too many colors, too much info, too few dropdowns, popups, tooltips and other methods to cleanup the UI. Also too many features with no proper introduction as to where am I supposed to look for it or what it does. (especially streams)

Instead of criticizing every little detail. let me propose solutions instead:

- Notifications should primarily show what happened and only secondarily if at all current status.

- There should only be one place where new public stuff happens - They should be under the same button on the appbar and only in that view should you choose what it is you are looking for. (however if it were up to me. I'd have separate apps for both live streams and groupchats as they will inevitabbly clutter the UI)

- Anything thst doesn't neccessarily have to be shown right away should be hidden up to two clicks away. (For instance relay badges on notes in the feed, or notification options in create note view)

- It should be possible to turn off translations

There is a lot more that I'd say, but these hurt me the most I'd say. If you were interested, I could sketch up wireframes/prototypes with proposed modifications, because I will never be able to describe it as clearly as I see it in my head.

Plebstr also has major UI/UX issues, but it causes me less pain for now.

For instance having to open side drawer to see notifications, which dont even work really reliably is a great hassle.

I have two issues thst I haven't been able to find a satisfying answer to when it comes to BTC. Can anybody help prove me wrong, so that I can keep calm and stack sats?

With adoption, the pressure for regulation with rise. The nature of BTC makes it very difficult, but IMHO not impossible. Here is what I am afraid of:

1) Non-fungibility - Because of BTCs public ledger, every transaction can be traced, every coin can be traced, which effectively makes every single sat on chain non fungible. That IMHO is a vector for regulation as governments can make it illegal/regulated to accept or pay with coins that for instance have been used for illegal activities, mined using fossil fuels or whatever else.

2) centralization of mining - Given that BTC can mined only with specialized, usually quite expensive HW (ASICs), I expect creeping tendency towards centralization of miners. Not absolute centralization. where there would only be a single pool, but centralization where over 50% of mining capacity is in hands of a small number of big companies that are easy to "hold by their balls".

It really differs from day to day, week to week. Sometimes I go to sleep at 22, sometimes at 5...
