It took them several years to make it happen— cancellations due to weather. This is in VA.
It was yummy! He can make things without a recipe. I need directions
when I make anything. He’s Italian— and his mom is also an excellent cook.
A friend made me this 🍎 Delicious. https://nostr.build/av/5ab9a524f96e11889a5f16ed7453e625b67092a11d493e39473afc61fb906f43.mov
One great thing about spending time on Mastodon— is I learned more about people in the cybersecurity field & people who worked in a different capacity for firms with tech. Right before I left, I commented to someone that I wished (as a person not on any of those fields), I had a book to read to explain some of the hierarchies & power struggles. It would have helped understanding different reactions.
I’m hosting a breakfast for family & friends this week before we head to a local parade. I’m catering a small part of it & I’m also cooking. I’m making two breakfast casseroles— my dad does not eat red meat for health reasons— so I’m happy found turkey sausage.
I’m feeling the pinch of not being able to check “book” twitter via the browser. But then I remind myself that I already subscribe to The New Yorker, The New York Time, The Financial Times — all of these have books/art pieces, Literary Magazines, Instagram & Book Forum is up & running again. So no need for Twitter. https://www.bookforum.com/
And I’m definitely not living in an echo chamber by not being on Twitter because I live in Western PA & if I want my “feelings hurt” all I have to do is tap “universe” or whatever it’s called on my Nostr Client & I will most likely see some version of Libtard.
In other words— I don’t feel isolated from the complexity and dynamics of my country and/ or the world.

Wow! Does it fly?! Is that the right word?
My brothers took my dad for a hot air balloon ride for his belated 70th birthday!
always love when I see them in the Pittsburgh Parks— they bring them in 🐐
“You must look without looking to make the perfect circle.
The line, the mind must be a blind continuous liquid
Until the drawing is complete.”

An evening #poem
“Note
Remember how the naked soul
comes to language and at once knows
loss and distance and believing
then for a time it will not run
with its old freedom
like a light innocent of measure
but will hearken to how
one story becomes another
and will try to tell where they have emerged from and where
they are heading
as though they were its own legend running before the words and beyond them naked and never looking back
through the noise of questions”

The art of making an expresso— maybe one day I’ll try. I love good coffee. Every morning I use my French Press. Expresso in the afternoons after work. I can drink caffeine around 3/4 pm and feel tired by 11 pm
My husband did video me getting a salsa lesson at Ball & Chain Restaurant last summer — Little Havana, Miami— but I will not be sharing that!! 🤣 Here are pros from my favorite restaurant: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CuDdJjYOwr4/?igshid=ZmZiYTY5ZDNhOA==
Not going to Miami this summer 😭 But at least I have my pictures! #cubancoffee
🤣🤣🤣
Love! After visiting Miami the last two summers, I became enamored with Cuban Coffee which in some places depending on the type is served in small cups. So when I came back to Pittsburgh & did not have this option— I became an expresso addict. Portions are different in USA. Do you have a machine?
My favorite club in Pittsburgh plays mostly Latin music in one of the rooms — and my friend from Panama always gives me free dance lessons when we go — the back room is mostly techno. I went with my family last night & got my salsa💃🏻lesson from her. Tonight is movie night. #summerweekend
I could give you details of my pregnancy & labor 🤣— the day I gave birth to my son— I entered the hospital around 5am & gave birth shortly before midnight on the 26th— literately. Worth all the pain ❤️
Also— if you enjoy working with children, there are other paths!
