It was a testing day once again. We need more open source software / firmware for this shit. I want to determine my wattage on my flexible electricity tariff Which goes negative more and more often so I get paid to consume electricity. Does anyone have any advice? Running home assistant with plugs that I can switch on and off based on tariff. Would love to see some open source work on wattage setting on either Vnish or Braiins based on tariff input. Mining output would be constantly optimal. Understand Lincoin Rails is building this, but are there example implementations we can use? Would love to test and improve. This would ensure no excess electricity is wasted. Currently we shut down solar and wind in the Netherlands to curtail. Let’s reduce that waste by load balancing with old miners.

Btw, it looked like a circle. So it was meant to mean happy 🍕 day. But I guess that’s too far fetched. Should have put topping on bear I guess…. Anyway, everyone: happy pizza day.

If you don’t know if you can trust your signing device, verify it. nostr:note1lzf5qre59nk2gu7enm0887f833m33ejklg2knaama503y6t8q37steny8f

I think I saw someone in a telegram group who might actually use this tool to input his actual keys that are used for securing his bitcoin. Hope you have an immense warning and disclaimer my fren 😉😂

Great PoW on the website, getting better by the day.

GM PV. Is PV still a thing here? Haven’t seen it in a while…

t’s been a hectic few days, also communicating with the people who did back orders with us. The book orders are still flowing through. We’re preparing shipments for the upcoming week. Didn’t expect this to happen in 2023. Apparently people start to understand monetary sovereignty more and more. This can only be achieved by having full control over your #bitcoin. Which means you need the right tools for it. Unfortunately these tools are not manufactured in Europe anymore. Until last week the european manufacturers had a market dominance of >90%. The new European mica legislation might have pushed these corporations into sharing client data and possible access to your bitcoin. The enormous backlash that the public statements gave, makes people directly ditch these European products and move towards Open Source | Air Gapped | Bitcoin Only products from the US. It’s sad to see europe has lost a multi billion $€ industry overnight.

Stock update: there are 15 out of 50 #[5] passports on it’s way. There are 100 #[6] jades on its way from the US and 100 jades on its way from Spain. The jades in Spain have been stuck at customs since the 5th of may. That’s why we decided to order another batch straight from the US. Currently we expect the batch from the US to arrive before the Spanish batch. The limited edition transparent ones (50) are in the Spanish shipment. Some plebs who have the transparent jade in backorder will be given the option to switch to black, if the US shipment indeed arrives earlier. We are expecting the shipments of both the passports and the jades within the next few days. You can back-order easily on our website and you’ll receive your device quicker than if you order directly with the vendor. This is due to large customs batches that we import via our so called EORI number we have as a business. There currently are plenty of passports and jades available because we only received a handful of back orders, which we totally understand. If you want to make sure you get a device within ~a week we would advise you to place a back order via our website. So we can prepack. Because we ordered plenty we are not expecting to run out so quickly anymore. Don’t forget we only accept #bitcoin  via @BtcpayServer and we’re still early. 🙏 everyone for the support.

Discussed this with my father in law. The largest EMP could be a solar flare. This would probably still not wipe out all computers across the globe, because there will be some running protected from this. We believe that in this situation, bitcoin still has one of the highest degrees of global adoption. Because the network is up in no time anywhere on the planet…

In Dutch we call this laakbaar. Which translates as reprehensible.

Reminds me of the laptop of our ceo that was stolen mid meeting with Chinese delegation for their port designs and software. Or the time we pulled a Chinese person out under the AGV (automated guided vehicle) in Rotterdam…
