Thanks to some analysis from our intern nostr:npub17plqkxhsv66g8quxxc9p5t9mxazzn20m426exqnl8lxnh5a4cdns7jezx0 , according to opt-in AppStore analytics one of the biggest issues with Damus is user retention. 99% of people stop using damus after 6 months.
In the next version we will be looking at ways to get mores users to that āah haā moment that gets them to stick around like all of us addicts.
Ideas welcome! Notifications is obviously a big one, but maybe we could make it easier to get people their first sats.

Some people might have already picked this up. I have become chairman of the United Bitcoin Companies the Netherlands. This group of companies has recently won its second lawsuit against the Dutch central bank and is working together with multiple institutions to improve the bitcoin landscape in the Netherlands.
It is for instance hard to get a bank account if you start a bitcoin company. Weāre currently in the process of finalizing a sector document in cooperation with the Dutch banks, so thereās clear guidance and possibilities instead of standard rejection of bank account requests. We want to make sure that the Netherlands is not pushing every company abroad. In this podcast in Dutch we warn the Dutch regulator for overregulation and excessive cost which might send all companies abroad under micar. The upcoming year will be interesting to say the least. This is Adriaan, heās like a second father for me. I grew up in a rural area and my neighbors across the street Miet and Adriaan were a big part of our upbringing. He was one of the last sovereign milk barrel transporters by horse cart. National horse ploughing champion and fixer of everything you can think of. āI never thought I would be refurbishing computers at 80+ years old, heck the computer was not there most of my lifeā.
