I should open a motorcycle workshop.
I'm in. Kagi is cool. Better search results. The reduction in commercially driven/advertising driven results is like a throw back to the early days of the net. They appreciate the small web too. Nice vibe. And you can subscribe using lightning.

Were you able to fix the issue with the image for installing from USB onto AMD systems? Nothing I tried earlier would give me a bootable drive. Instead, I've been installing things myself, from scratch. Learning a bit along the way but a lot of work to connect everything and I think to keep it updated.
Doing fine without the app store here. I use obtainium instead to download apps from github. It works but it's a little trickier than the app stores.
Love it! Bench press, bent over row, dips and pulldowns in my session with Dr Les Goh today. 😆
Nice one! I'd been using Nostr more and Twitter less anyway. Then I changed phones and found problems logging in to Twitter so I gave up on it and I don't miss it. The feed there seemed designed to rouse negativity and when I tweeted, it was into the void, I think.
I'm a few weeks in. From Android. I haven't used the Google Play services. All apps through Obtainium or web apps.
Welcome to the slave labour camp.
I think that I'll go the CLN route too. It's disappointing that the channels can't be really carried over from the retiring node. A fresh start it is.
I've got an old NUC with a weak processor (Celeron N3060) with a 1TB SSD and 8GB. I didn't want to junk this, or upgrade it, so I've tasked it solely with running the bitcoin-core daemon. It could chug along for another 3 years yet and do it comfortably.
Other stuff can go on the more-powerful node. electrs, CLN, mempool can go there and make RPCs to the bitcoin-core daemon. And it'll leave me with space for Immich, Nextcloud, Transmission-OpenVPN, Pi-hole, Plex, etc.
Of yeah, there was a comment in one the 402 Payment Required guides on YouTube to this effect. Is lnd still on the shit list?
I'm thinking of closing my lnd node. It's one of the last things that I have in Umbrel (and served by a pruned node and administered by Thunderhub.) If I shut that down, I can get rid of Umbrel. Umbrel has been okay but other stuff on the server is hindered by it because it monopolises nginx. I prefer to manage containers myself with Portainer and I've pushed bitcoin-core (unpruned) onto another server.
I recall that many were keen on core lightning about 18 months ago. Are there compelling reasons to use it still and instead of lnd?
Heat pump and buy bitcoin unless you've got free energy.
Why does YouTube serve me this after so long? What does the algo know?
I like the sound of that!
RetroShare is an open-source, decentralized communication platform that offers secure messaging, file sharing, and forums through encrypted friend-to-friend connections.
I'll probably never use it. I already have SimpleX for messaging, Wormhole/torrents/Nextcloud for filesharing and Nostr for forums.

Shaz lost her keys in the boating accident, which turned out disastrously for Baz but her own Bitcoin was safe because her multi-sig collaborators were reliable. She was confident in this because she checked in with all of them only a fortnight ago using gatekeeper.beauty

I see services now trying to exclude US-based users after the Samourai founders were arrested. Bitmex applied the same kind of measures to exclude UD-based users but it's founders weren't spared from US legal oppression.
