pop is pretty solid. i ran it for a few months before swapping back to fedora. you'll get there. just kind of boop around in bash and you'll soon realize how much more powerful it is than simple point and click interfaces. good luck mate!
it was my first distro coming over from windows and i fell in love with it/linux immediately. i've also tried pop which was nice, but eventually went back to fedora. now i'm mixing it up again.
you will get there. there's a great community here and everyone wants the protocol to succeed, so don't hesitate to reach out for questions
