The last thing hubs said to me as we left on our hike today was “Grab your spikes.” It hadn’t rained for a couple days so I thought “Nah, I’ll be fine.” I proceeded to fall half a dozen times on the slippery, steep ascent and descent. Did hubby scold me? Say “I told you so?” Get angry with me or make me feel worse than I already did? Nope, he picked my ass up half way down the descent and carried me out. He reserved the scolding and “Never again” lecture until after I showered and got cleaned and bandaged up 🤗
My biggest piece of marital advice after having good communication with one another is to be your significant other’s soft place to land. I can’t emphasize enough what this does for their love and respect for you.

Friends, relatives, acquaintances, former staff, parents of my kids’ friends, etc.
Work hard in the first hard half of your life so you can play hard in the second half of your life. I know too many people including my mentor in dentistry who worked hard all their lives until they were too old to enjoy it. My mentor retired at 82 on a Friday in 2021 and died on Sunday night. He didn’t have 1 day of enjoying retirement. It was a huge eye opener for me.
We will have a much bigger mission in April. Would love the help!

Dental and medical education in ES is equivalent if not better than the US. It’s 8 years + 1 required year of community volunteer work which the US does not have.
My husband and I will teach dental continuing education classes at the clinic for dentists.
I know far more people who will be upset when #bitcoin hits $100k than ones who will be elated about it.

Incredible day serving the medical and dental needs of El Zonte. The medical/dental facility we are building will have an enormous impact on the community if today was any indication.
