Telling people what you're going to do gives you a dopamine rush and, as a result, makes it less probable for you to accomplish it for real.
You've taken a great decision. Best wishes for you and #noStrudel.
P.S. I like noStrudel for it's a functional #Nostr client. But I think the UI could be made simpler, easier and maybe a little bit more modern-looking?
They say Facebook has over 3 Billion users. So, you're not one of them, I assume. I'm not sure if you're joking.
Anyway, I'll try these recommendations and see whether these are what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the recommendations.
I haven't tried either of them yet. But from the initial perception, it seems these are more of an alternative for Discord/Slack. I was rather looking for anything that allows you to use group/community inside #Nostr as you can on Facebook with Groups.
Jumble.social is one of the very few #Nostr clients that got the UI right. It's still pretty basic. But off to a great start with a simple yet functioning and beautiful UI. It's a real pleasure to use #Jumble. Best wishes and keep improving nostr:npub1syjmjy0dp62dhccq3g97fr87tngvpvzey08llyt6ul58m2zqpzps9wf6wl.
"almost" isn't there yet.
As I said, your can't convince people with almost. People will take convenience over better anytime.
People prefer convenience. The alternatives are not, sadly, convenient enough.
It seems unbelievable the first time you hear it.
Is there a way to create a group or a community on #Nostr?
It could be something like Facebook Group.
#AskNostr
True that. We can live with the very minimums. Everything else is just fill-ins.
Well, read at least once what you've written. That'd help you catch misspelling.
Also, iOS and Android keyboards these days have spell check feature. So, you're in good hands.
Yes, it's about time. A dedicated Profile button would increase the usability for #Yakihonne.
I agree with nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gprfmhxue69uhhq7tjv9kkjepwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxmhwden5te0wfjkccte9emk2um5v4exucn5vvhxxmmd9uq3xamnwvaz7tmhda6zuat50phjummwv5hsx7c9z9 that we are better off without the editing feature on #Nostr.
As much as I'd love to have this feature, the rational part of me doesn't want it because it'll give people incentive to take advantage of this feature and other people.
People often misuse the editing feature on other social platforms to mislead others. They engage people with a false emotional story or others and when they've got enough engagement on the post, they'd edit it to make the post about something else, often for marketing or promotional purposes.
People give reactions to the post based on the original post. We shouldn't give people the incentive to misuse technology.
Editing has its advantages, yes. But you can always delete the post you want to correct and re-post it.
#NostrEditing #EditFeature #Editing
Well, editing makes things complicated from the technical point of view. So it's not a standard yet. Some clients have implemented it though. But you'd better not use it because people using other clients that don't support editing would see your pre-edited version of the post.
Besides, people take advantage of the editing feature. They post for something to appeal to people's emotional side. Get attentions and engagements. And then edit the post to make it something else. So it becomes misleading altogether. This is another reason why editing is not a standard feature yet.
