"Freedom of speech is being able to tell someone else something they don't want to hear." "No matter what you say, someone is going to be offended." "Once you realize that politicians are not altruistic, and that they're in politics for themselves and their own personal gain, then everything makes sense." "No one is above the law." "Have you ever met a poor politician?"

why when I log into Primal with Alby (on Chromium) does every post change to "spendgoldblocks"?

Logging in now without Alby (on Firefox) and everything seems fine...

Anyone have any ideas? Me or Chromium or are others experiencing the same?

I appreciate your opinion (and I know I probably am a bit of a contrarian on this subject).

However, my personal observation is that marijuana removes a person's drive and ambition--somehow, their personalities change--they become numb and indifferent to life. Subtle changes, but I've seen this in so many it's becoming easy to recognize...

And (despite the publicity) I've also seen quite a few move on to harder drugs (i.e., yes, it's a "gateway" drug).

Again, my opinion (and my observations). YMMV of course, but I believe marijuana is one of the worst things to ever happen to society.

Pharmacology is not the answer...

History will look back and realize that legalization of marijuana was one of the most significant mistakes made by modern society.

Soma for the masses..."most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution".

Another day, another coffee--and that's not a bad thing no matter how you look at it! 😃

LOL - no, not a lawyer (don't even play one on tv) 😃

I agree with you on the math...yet I've seen so many people with TONS of monthy payments, from car to Netflix to wine deliveries...and they quickly "use up" their paychecks so nothing is left. Staggering really...

There is a tremendous amount of discretionary spending in today's society--and trimming back on those expenses is the easiest path to financial success.

Unfortunately, very few choose to do so...

The problem with financing is most people just look at the monthly payment (i.e. "it's only another $10 a month) - and once you get used to that, then everything becomes a monthly payment...

Most people don't have the fiscal discipline to succeed at this - it's frankly why it's so difficult for so many to save money, because virtually everything now is financed down to an "affordable monthly payment". It's why Americans typically have overwhelming credit card debt...

Financing (anything) is the quickest path to fiscal ruin.

What ideas do you have that someone can use to trim expenses in order to invest?

(This idea came from another thread...)

My starting list:

a) Starbucks (brew coffee at home)

b) Lunch (brown bag it)

c) Buy a used car (with cash)

What other ideas do people have? Would love to hear them...

Keep your 401K - the tax advantages you don't want to forfeit. There are plenty of other alternatives to save money...

Some (quick) examples:

a) Starbucks (brew it at home)

b) Lunch (brown bag you lunch)

c) Car (buy a used Honda or Toyota and keep it to 200K)

Lots more - almost everyone can find ways to decrease expenses enough to invest...

Whether you like Trump or hate him, you can't ignore the fact that the judicial system has been weaponized against him...which is a problem for every US citizen.

I once interviewed for a government position, and was told I was too goal and results-oriented, and they were concerned I wouldn't fit in with the pace at that agency.

Needless to say I didn't get the job...

if you use ChatGPT you're frankly part of the problem.

ever take the time to read their terms of service?

oppressive and dystopian

when people continue to use services that are collecting information it seems quite hypocritical to complain about some other service doing the same

and please don't say "I have nothing to hide"

You could have simply removed the word "oculus" from that sentence and left it at that...

Feels a bit narcissistic - do you really need to post the same thing on multiple platforms? Are anyone *that* interested in what you have to say?

I find that joining a conversation on a topic is much more compelling that simply posting on my own...
