Because nobody wants to stifle creativity. We now have a couple dozen kinds of relays that users don't know how to manage or even have visibility into which relays do what. Nostr is becoming a place only devs will be able to use.

The complexity of nostr is growing far faster than we are able to wrangle and make usable for plebs and I'm afraid it is becoming unsustainable.

This is a middle of the night sick stomach ramble. I may not be thinking clearly. Please discuss among yourselves while I get back to sleep.

Agree--still not quite sure how to leverage relays...but this will all come--the innovation is the important part. "Catching up" on documentation, FAQs, primers etc. can happen later.

It boggles my mind how much time and money folks waste due to an aversion to Reading The Fucking Manual.

Over the weekend I fixed my vehicle's broken A/C for $30 by watching a 4 minute YouTube video & buying a recharge kit. Later discovered a neighbor had the same issue recently and paid a mechanic $400 for the convenience.

Today I fixed a broken $150 Nespresso machine by once again spending 5 minutes researching common issues and finding a way to resolve an airlocked machine using nothing more than a Ziploc bag.

One of my pet peeves is people not reading the manual...

Having said that, there is SO MUCH legal "filler" nowadays it's frustrating....

Go back and look at a car manual say from the 30's or 40's - no fluff, just get down to business and describe how to fix the thing...no warnings about how swallowing the parts would be bad for you...

Simpler times....

Finally have all of our Wyoming Jade (Nepherite) moved from the horse pasture where it's been stored for 40 some years and into town. Now to get all of the equipment setup for cutting and polishing.

Well, not quite...

You see, "mathematics" is a study - a discipline - a singular item.

You study mathematics, just like you'd study physics (or medicine, or history) - they're all singular.

By saying "maths" you're implying plurality where none exists. The original noun is singular, and therefore the correct abbreviation should also be singluar--i.e., "math"

It's my only "tell", I think. 😂

I am particularly amused by British English--especially the slang (I can thank Jeremy Clarkson for that). Never knew there were so many different names for parts of the male anatomy that could be used as insults.

And I'm also amused (and fascinated) by Cockney Rhyming Slang--had a British professor that introduced me to that...amazing stuff.

I just want to say that we all ideologically failed yesterday. We can do better.

If we all tried to censor a journalist on X, then what are we doing?

I only realized this after the fact. But hey we got excited.

To my understanding the lady found out the identity on her own, not that Fiatjaf told her in secret.

Now after she gets banned from Twitter and comes here. She can say whatever she wants without anyone being able to censor her. And I hope she does.
