Frankly, I get the same feeling from just reading posts on here...great vibe on Nostr--and (while I'm not a coder) I'm bullish just lurking and seeing what's everyone is building here... π
Maybe, but my standard tip is 20%--if you're a good waiter, entertain me so that my dining experienced is enhanced, you're likely to get 25%.
If you're a bad waiter, you'll get 15%...anything less that...well you'd have to "earn" that somehow by being spectactularly bad...

Happy Monday!
The start of a new week, and the opportunity for new adventures, new things to learn and new experiences.
Make the most of it!
(And make the most of that first cup of coffee, for nothing tastes better!)

I admire your optimism...yet I've seen firsthand the evil that lies within the souls of all too many men...
AI could be a tool for good--yet I GUARANTEE you that it will end up being used by many for evil...you mention fake news--were that the only evil purpose for which it's used for I'd be overjoyed.
Totalitarianism is just a short step for many politicians, and make no mistake--all of them (by definition) seek power over others. AI has the power to give them that full authority.
Future souls will look back at us in just a very few years and say "How could those people have let this happen? Didn't they see the warning signs?"
And what will we say? Because the signs are there...and most are choosing to ignore them.
Couple thoughts--
First off, people should be tipping at least 15% (20% I would say should be average for good service)...
Having said that, she's working as a waitress...and at Hooters. That's not something I'd call a "career", so compensation shouldn't be expected to be on a par with a programmer, teacher, plumber or stockbroker.
Want better pay? Invest in yourself so that you can add value to society...simple as that.
I was wondering about that--if "too many" relays actually hurts performance...(I've been adding them as I discover more).
What would be helpful π is if there was a way to assess performance of a relay, and to see if it "deserved" to be on your list...
"Relay Worthy" as it were (with apologies to Elaine Benes)...
Or maybe that already exists somewhere?
Serious question (I'd like to understand your perspective) - how is Nostr being censored?
(The only thing I can think of is each individual's "mute" list, but that's a personal choice...)
Would welcome your thoughts....
AI is the worst thing man has ever created (and that's a pretty high bar, considering nuclear weapons, COVID, etc.)
And the worst is yet to come...
Anyone using something like this needs to reevaluate their lives...
Everybody that is appalled by #SmartWatches due to their highly personal data grabbing, should check out https://gadgetbridge.org/ !
Great project that makes smart watches usable for #privacy valuing plebs!
So I used to wear a watch. It told me the time.
And then we got smartphones...
And people asked me "Why do you wear a watch? Your phone tells the time!"
And I stopped wearing a watch, and used my phone to look up the time.
And then we got smart watches...
And people asked me "Why don't you wear a smartwatch? You can tell the time without having to look at your phone!!"
*sigh*
So I've decided I'm now going to buy a Timex and go back to wearing a watch.
And I can simply tell people "It's a smart watch! It can tell the time! And I no longer have to look at my phone!!"
And everyone will applaud my ingenuity...

Just like with people...looks don't matter.
If it's tasty...that's all that really counts!
Just learned what a "mouse jiggler" is...
Can't believe this type of thing even exists--do people really use these to look like they're working online when they're not?
Seriously?

Saturday!
'Nuff said!!
(Well, still gotta mention my coffee, which always seems more tasty on a Saturday!)

Perhaps...but why add another letter when it's really superfluous?
However, maybe we should start a discussion on the correct pronounciation of words (e.g., aluminum)?
That'd be a read s.storm... π
Same thing for agreeing how to spell words... π
AI -- don't do it -- really bad privacy implications (and please don't say "I have nothing to hide...")
How a UI looks is not the right question--
It's all about what it does, and how easy it makes things for the user.
It's would be like going to a restaurant with a great atmosphere, but with bad food...
