Ah...so it doesn't require GPS (and will run without it)...thanks.
Downloading the APK from GitHub via #Obtanium will work for me.
😃

nostr:npub10td4yrp6cl9kmjp9x5yd7r8pm96a5j07lk5mtj2kw39qf8frpt8qm9x2wl - would love to start looking at 0xchat, but I will not load apps that rely on Google Play Services. Is it possible to remove that dependency, and allow those of us using #GrapheneOS (and other de-googled phones) to avoid the privacy risks and compromises that come with GPS?
Thanks!
Hearing a banjo rip through Orange Blossom Special...
Why does 0xchat use Google Play Services?
😟
GM Nostr! Happy Thursday!
Picked up some RAK 4631 devices to try out #Meshtastic. Be an interesting project for a chilly (and windy) day.
Glad there was already coffee in the pot this morning!

We can always stay ahead of quantum computing by upping the encryption standards and complexity. (i.e., Have faith that our "geeks" will be able to outwit any potential governmental threat to privacy)
The issue really is whether the government will outlaw such standards...(and even more interesting will be how they might try to enforce such a ban).
The ONLY reason for a government to be anti-encryption is because they are totalitarian. (Don't be fooled by the "well terrorists use it" argument).
"Traders gonna trade"
They can't help themselves...
GM Nostr! Happy Wednesday!
Snowed yesterday -- just a dusting, but need a coffee this morning for sure.
But -- have to wait for a fresh pot to brew (normally have at least a cup leftover from yesterday so I can microwave it).
Patience isn't my strong suit...

GM Nostr! Happy Tuesday!
Black Friday sales starting - Google Pixel 8 already on sale for $399 now (for those of you looking to move to #GrapheneOS this is a good deal). Additional BF deals should be out shortly...best time to buy a Pixel (am potentially looking to upgrade).
Shopping BF deals is always fun, especially with a hot Raktajino.

The president of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, says that the state is all of us, that the help of private people is also the state and that taxes must be paid for the state to be efficient.
- In Valencia we have not received help from the state so taxes have not been worth anything.
- All the help has been private.
With these statements what he is saying is that this private aid is thanks to the state and that we have not paid enough taxes so the state has been inefficient.
On the other hand, Pedro Sanchez says that we have to go out at 8 o'clock in the evening to applaud on the balcony as in the false pandemic for the work that public servants are doing in Valencia.
Stalin was a novice compared to him.

So they're inefficient and poor stewards of the taxes they already collect, but if they get more taxes they'll do better and be more efficient....
Sure...that makes total sense...
GM Nostr! Happy Veteran's Day!
Thank a veteran for their service today, and remember those to whom you no longer are able to thank.

Well, Pixels have both eSIM and a traditional SIM slot--you can run either (or both simultaneously if you want 2 lines on the same phone). 😃
GM Nostr! Happy Sunday!
Another nice warm day in store today...and nothing on my agenda (got my outdoor chores done yesterday).
Maybe a little fishing...we'll see...
#coffeechain
Well, if you don't like Graphene you can always just download the Google image and reload that...back to a normal Pixel...(or Tracfone).
GM Nostr! Happy Saturday!
Supposed to be great weather today--have a few chores to do outside...nice weather is always welcome this time of year!
Starting off with some zaps and coffee though...

Ahh...ok...still, even a small shop with 4 is impressive (just getting started with 3D, so only have one 😃 )
Yeesh...is that your shop with all those printers? Wow...
Yeah, that's pretty concerning. Wonder if you could ground out the antenna somehow (although that might risk frying something).
Is there any alternative? BYOD?
Hmmm...interesting...
Right now, I'm running a passthrough to an #OPNSense router and using #OpenWRT for APs...but if you can't turn off the ISPs AP that's a problem...
I can see the wanting to mesh to enhance their services--see Amazon Sidewalk https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Sidewalk/b?ie=UTF8&node=21328123011
Segmenting your internal network will help, but I agree--I don't like them "providing" an AP that's always on / not configurable.
