im no expert but my understanding is that with TIDES you still need to submit enough work to be rewarded, so for very low hashrate you would likely not receive anything. but the bar is pretty low still and a bitaxe meets it i think
all plebs should be mining at all costs. individual hashrate and profitability does not matter, mine on ocean with DATUM or solo lottery mine if you don't have enough to get paid on ocean. block template centralization is a bigger issue than simple pool hashrate distribution and thousands of plebs making their own templates is a significant mitigation.

I've heard a claim that there hasn't been any study on saturated fat that eliminated trans fats. Furthermore since they tend to be epidemiological studies there is no real causality established. Also these studies tend to label really terrible foods as 'meat' as long as it's an ingredient. I don't have links but you're on it already. The entire thing is a major scandal.
