Peace, love, freedom. First freedom.. Maddie de Garay was a 12 year old in the trial for Pfizer's covid vaccine. Immediately after her second jab she had a severe reaction that has put her in a wheelchair ever since. Pfizer simply decreed that this was not an effect of the vaccine - even though this was in the trial whose purpose is literally to determine the vaccine's effects. The FDA and CDC would not even speak to Maddy's parents. They tried to convince them Maddy was crazy. There is no possible conclusion except that the vaccines were developed in bad faith, and the authorities - including any doctors who promoted the vaccines - cannot be trusted. Be in no doubt that they will kill your children if it suits them. Never forget, never forgive. https://fullmeasure.news/newest-videos/vaccine-trials

I think people just started saying it, boringly

it's funny how these things happen. during covid early days I was talking to someone else who saw through the bullshit and was searching for a word to refer to the people who didn't.. .. while also expressing that belief in the bullshit was not about whether it was true or not, but really was a question of conformity.. ..and the people I wanted to refer to were conforming about everything, not just this..

..and the word "normie" came into my mind, and I said it.

I literally think that in that moment I had invented the word. I didn't think I'd heard it before.

but I don't think everyone else uses it because they heard it from me - but rather lots of people like me went through the same process and at some point found the same word - and soon it was ubiquitous

fascinating - and I guess it happens a lot

anyway that's where I think ngu may have come from

😀

i dunno i just feel like he probably uses coinbase too, after what he said about self custody..

..i mean why wouldn't he?

to be fair if they legit think this, then no amount of reading is gonna help them 😀

i fucking love that this is something people with "reputations" actually say. The plebs are definitely gonna win!

Today I'm thinking we have a moral obligation to try and keep nostr maximally bitcoin-toxic.

It has to be wrong to pretend to newcomers that bitcoin isn't about to completely overtake their lives - I just can't go along with the deception!

do you ever consider putting these reports together in one place? (or am i not understanding stacker news...)

i'm hoping to do a few myself, would be cool to make it a thing

some of our best economic minds are literally going to tell you the fact you can keep dividing it means it's not scarce!.. 😂 😂

do we think he actually owns any bitcoin at all, or is it all on coinbase?

hmm I dunno, I think if twitter can make such a spectacularly brain melting algo, there has to be some power in it - which hopefully someone can use for good..

but yeah I agree about following good ppl, but it doesn't scale all that well and I feel there's more dimensions of possibility to come

(plus I feel like lists aren't handled very well in most clients.. ..only nostrudel seemed to be good and I seem to have stopped using it)

I learned a while ago it's better to wait for someone more skilled to do what I want.. ..and happily pay for it

The biggest hurdles for each were the bootstrapping into existence.

For bitcoin this happened in say 2010 - going from satoshi alone, to any sort of global use was the biggest hurdle, everything since then was like water running downhill.

For nostr I guess it happened a couple years ago.

Both these are like a spaceship passing the event horizon of a black hole. You don't notice anything unusual at the time but once you've crossed that invisible line your fate is sealed.

Though I think you can argue that both were always inevitable anyway - certainly nostr was. You could possibly say for bitcoin you only had one shot at it, because it has to arise organically / stealthily and when everyone knows what's happening you can't do it. But I think probably over time this would have been got around somehow.

Think he means proof of stake..?

Nobody I know is bullish enough on bitcoin or nostr.

They will occupy the spaces of finance and social media to the same extent that TCP/IP occupies digital communication.

Another way to say it: there is no point in having multiple parallel layers for social media and finance (or the internet), so there will only be one layer for each, and they'll be nostr and bitcoin (and TCP/IP).

This will all be blindingly obvious in retrospect.
