Agreed, a bike is the most efficient green mode of transportation that exist short of walking however most of America needs better infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclist.

Au contraire, I'm an American cyclist there are a lot of us but at the same time not enough. Our government has been to short sided to understand the long term value in planning for pedestrians and cyclist so the cycling experience can be frustrating and down right unsafe at times. That said I would guess a dutch cyclist would find crossing America to be at times a scary culture shock. And yes it's true some diesel truck owners remove the catalytic converters or as they say remove the California emission crap so when the stomp the pedal it smokes I've experienced that as well and they need to keep moving cause if I catch up to them I'm going to be aggressively rude. It's usually teenagers.

For a nontechnical newbie such as myself it is kind of hard to find topics of conversation that interest me. My interest in nostr is the decentralized free speech aspect I support Presearch for the same reason but the nuts and bolts of how it works are above my pay grade. I like the idea of zapping quality content really like that great concept.

I think it needs to be more compartmentalized right now it is more of an unorganized free for all. I would like to see politics posted mostly in one place not hash tagged all over the place, sports, travel etc that way people can hang out in their happy space. And nostrhelp should be for nostr help jus sayin.
