This is a great question. One of the underlying values of Nostr is that users can distribute their content to multiple relays (servers) to insure it doesn’t get removed. By default most clients post content to all of your relays that accept write content.

There are some folks experimenting with posting to and reading from single relays as a means of creating smaller communities on Nostr. This is something Nos is interested in exploring further in the coming months.

The key is lack of political will combined with very short-term thinking. If they don’t build the plants to recycle the waste - which I assume is much more challenging - then we still have the waste issue. I’m also not sure we want the move-fast and break things crowd to be leading innovation on nuclear. If they get it wrong, there are huge implications.

At a concert on Saturday the singer told a story about how some of his fans in Germany - a mom and daughter watched his live streams throughout the pandemic but didnt use venmo or Paypal. When he started touring again they showed up at 4 of his shows in Germany and presented him with a piggy bank full of 5 euro notes - 2 for every online show they watched. It was over 300 euros!

Women give $ often at much higher rates and with less strings attached. Imagine the potential in Nostr if this were a place women felt comfortable sticking around in. Noted in a week when we’ve lost yet another community building woman on Nostr.

Lol this assumes I even have cell service at home. The telcos have been enabled by the FCC for decades. 10 years ago cell service was better in Southern Sudan than rural Northeast and that is likely still true today.

They do not seem to understand how the feed is populated. How to find people. How threading works. I think we forget that there is a learning curve for twitter bc we’ve been using it for so long. In general they just didnt understand how it worked so they gave up.

In user research multiple participants mentioned that the “Twitter UX is xperience” is not intuitive. It requires people to think.
